I honestly love this question.  I’ve had similar discussions with friends over the years about our college intramural teams beating women’s college teams.

And in my opinion, an organized high school men’s team could and should beat the UConn women’s team.  It is just a completely different game.  And once you move past UConn and maybe a few other top tier women’s teams then it wouldn’t even be close.

The issue is with conditioning for just a bunch of random guys trying to do this because these women are some the top female athletes in the world and would run circles around men who aren’t in shape.  But an organized men’s high school team would be in shape so that doesn’t come into play.

I’ve personally played against a few female players from my college team and I could routinely lock them down on defense and then get whatever shot I wanted in the lane on offense.  And I’m no great talent in basketball.  Just an average pickup player.

And that isn’t a knock on the women playing college basketball, just a reality that it is a completely different game.

And the ball you are playing with would make a difference because you couldn’t ask woment to play with a men’s ball and then men might not be able to shoot a smaller women’s ball as easily but could palm/dribble/dunk easier.

I don’t understand your animosity towards this issue.  The game is completely different on a number of different levels.  As I noted above, the deciding which ball to play with would be huge in this particular scenario.  And your argument about a "whole level suffrence" (assuming you meant difference) makes no sense.  One level is HUGE when discussing something like this.  By your assumption that we can only compare level by level, a men’s college team couldn’t beat a WNBA team, which we all know makes zero sense.

Lol this probably sounds gay, but ive played a lot of Mixed Basketball and Netball against women and I observed a few things. For those that dont know netball…its kinda like basketball (except stupid-er).

As long as a guy is in decent shape, a rookie male will straight up dominate an experienced and skilled female. Rules are in place to stop men dominating, such as no blocking womens shots or stealing the ballm

Taller, faster, heavier, stronger. Women simply can’t get a rebound. Their movements are too slow and predictable. Their bodys consist of very little muscle and they have no explosiveness.

They cant play physically because theyll get hurt. They have to get out of the way if a 200lb guy is running in their direction.

Im not even going to apologize to women for my comments. Any that are reading can get their all-star 5 against my 5 average joes, and we will win 100 to 10. 

And all the men that wanna stand up for womens rights just cos they suck at basketball compared to men need a serious reality check.

I don’t watch a ton of women’s basketball but when I do I have to admit that I am usually impressed by the skill level of the players and the way they move the ball. I think in a lot of ways women are more coachable and have less of a tendency to play isolation ball and are more focused on fundamentals out of necessity.

I was not a division 1 level basketball player by any means and I have competed in pickup games with high level women’s college basketball players and easily gotten the better of them.  Most of the high level women’s programs in the country will scrimmage against men’s intramural teams throughout the season to gain an advantage. It’s pretty much standard practice.

 Stop basketball I’m not sure how to respond to you, have you ever played against a high level female basketball player? If you have to know it was the Connecticut Sun that we played against, I don’t have any reason to lie… Now I’m not taking anything away from those woman, they could really ball, but they couldn’t keep up physically. Like I said my team was full of future division 1 players so it wasn’t a typical high school team, but UCONN is a step down from a WNBA team and I have no doubt that a typical solid highschool program would beat UCONN fairly easily. I’m just going to leave it at I auctually played against WNBA players in highschool so I have first hand experience not just speculation.
