The Scare Crow RisesParticipantWho stays?
Who goes?
Who is Calipari’s next Blue Chip prospect? I’m talking National Championship here, Anthony Davis-Derrick Rose type impact…
This years class was underwhelming throughout the season for me, I think Skal needs another year and some serious weight gain and strength conditioning…

Hype MachineIsaac Humphries.
I have him in the top 5 next year. Unsighted this year…but 17yo bigmen cant be expected to compete at NCAA level. Cal didn’t run a single play for him, which shows where his priorities lie.
How many guys in the NBA can claim to be both bangers and floor spacers at the 5. Humphries is automatic out to 18 feet, free throws, and I’ll bet my reputation that hes draining 3’s soon. Hes also a beast on the glass.
I expect him to have a Marc Gasol type impact at NBA level.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantA beast on the glass against whom? Youth players in Australia? I love a fellow Aussie as much as the next guy but Humphries has been completely useless in college.

OnionsParticipantI think Fox is a stud. Monk I’m iffy on, but the talent is obviously there.
I’ve watched a lot of Bam and I think he’s overrated. I don’t see a huge difference between him and Cheick Diallo and Diallo doesn’t even get off the bench anymore. Though I do think Diallo is better than what KU is showing right now… He can contribute as a rotation player as a freshman. Just don’t see top 5 player, which is what ESPN has him ranked right now (#4). Especially in this class. He’s not better than Lonzo Ball. Not now, not as a college player, and not as an NBA prospect. I wouldn’t take him over Brdiges either. Not even close. Hell, I’m looking at the list now and I would put him around 14 or 15. Even then, I think Bolden is a better player and ESPN has him at 20.
The guy I really like is Killeya-Jones. Outside game, good length and athlete. Very intelligent kid. He’s more of a 2-3 year down the line player. If he doesn’t produce fast, however, it wouldn’t shock me to see him transfer and really flourish. a la Wiltjer. He’s the type of player UK recruits over with potential NBA players, not realizing they have a possibly very good college player on the roster.

holefillers1ParticipantJamal Murray, 16 pts on 18 shots. Not a PG, undersized for the two. My final player comp. A mix between Jimmer Fredette and Kyle Korver…anyone compares this guy to Roy is way way way off

lalailaParticipantcalm down……
he scored like 25ppg on 50% from 3pt for like last 13 or 14 games.
Tell me one more freshman who did it?

Kokayne_DawkinzParticipantHave you not watched Murray at all this year?!? That comparison is horrible. Murray can slash and maneuver around defense and get to the hole as well as finish.

morestealsthanscoresParticipantWow – Scare Crow on -4 for that post without saying a single controversial thing and asking some questions…!
I think they’ll practically all go because that’s what they expected to do when they got there. Just a shame – it felt like this year’s team was really unbalanced – fairly good in the backcourt and nothing up front.
