llperezlove this time of year. I take the opening weekend of march madness off every single year except this year (dammit). nothing better then this first weekend in all of sports in my book. Im working night shift tonight 7pm to 7 am and should be asleep right now but screw it, we only live once, im watching all this, that’s what they make coffee for.
I filled out a couple brackets and every single one was chalk, lol. I have all 4 1 seeds making it to final four so I know damn well my bracket will be in fire place by Saturday morning. I do have northern iowa making a run so they’re my Cinderella this year.
Watching Colorado vs UConn right now (I picked UConn) and how in the hell is Josh Scott of Colorado not in the second round of mocks???? This guy is drawing double teams and consistently reading it correct and making the right play. He is a legit 6-10 245 pound big man with skills. Avraged double digits points all 4 years of college making the tourney in 3 of those years. He rebounds and has helped Colorado be one of the top 10 rebounding teams in America. He marks every single box of what you hope for from an nba big man role player. Hes got 13 and 4 in the first half vs UConn right now and that’s with them throwing everything but the kitchen sink at him.
anyways, I got Kansas winning it all like lots of people. Discuss whatever you like

dmo21ParticipantI have Michigan State. Seems like Kansas and Michigan State are the top 2 choices to win it all. So far I’m 2 for 2 with Duke and Butler winning. I also have UConn winning, but that doesn’t look good right now.

llperezjust saw cal’s tyrone Wallace is out of the tourney with a fractured hand. Damn, he is cals best player. Their leading scorer and best playmaker and assist man. A senior who provided leadership. HUGE loss on the eve of the tourney. I’ve been on here giving cal props all year as the best team from the pac 12, unfortunately now we wont get to see them at full strength.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantWhy they bring in Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley to do commentary for for the NCAA tournament I will never understand. These guys obviously barely watch college basketball all season and now they are the so-called experts when the tournament rolls around.

llperezagreed. I like Kenny and chuck, but it makes zero sense to have them calling college basketball. They were analyzing the Baylor/yale game at halftime and barkley says ” keep in mind when I said Baylor would blow yale out that I only saw some clips of yale, I haven’t gotten to see them 15 times like these bigger colleges” and im thinking yeah right, you haven’t seen any of these schools 15 times. They basically are just repeating what they read other people say about these teams.

LazarusMunozParticipantIndiana’s freshman. Thomas Bryant, OG anuoby, Juwan Morgan. These three will be really special in a year. Anuoby could have an Oladipo sorta rise in the next few years

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantI’m pushing my chips into the middle with us being about 12 hours away from Thomas Walkup being the most beloved bearded guard in Texas.
Yes, he will surpass Tony Parker’s stubble.
