valentineLebron the Agent might even be more successful than Lebron the GM, since he’s scooped up Ben Simmons into his Sports Management company Klutch. He will be represented by Rich Paul.
This deal has secretly been in place for a long time now, and the company hired Simmon’s older sister in 2014 as an employee.
Simmons wont be playing another NCAA game, so is essentially a pro.
In other ground-breaking news… credible sources reveal that Basketball without Borders MVP Harry Froling has been selected to play in the Nike Hoops Summit.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantJohnny Jones elected to bypass post season play as to focus on preparations for next season as missing out on the NCAA tournament was not good enough in his eyes, and he felt a need to reevaluate and take this time to prepare the team better for next year.
And the gossip in me likes to think he did it as one last up yours to Simmons

Simmons about to get paid. I doubt he wanted to play in the NIT.
Lebrons agency has commercials lined up. Simmons will be out of Baton Rouge by midnight.

He probably has a shoe deal lined up so he can instantly have his millions along with the commercials like you said. I think it is fine, there has to be a better way than forcing a guy like him to go to college and lose out on the $3 to $5 million NBA contract plus another few million for a shoe deal. I think eventually top players are going to take shoe deals and play in the NBDL or in China. Like mudiay getting a $1 million under armour shoe contract for when he played in China. Lebron signed a seven year $90 million shoe contract right out of high school, so going to college would have forced him to lose almost $13 million.

ropeParticipantWhen you read the article on Yahoo. you wonder how Simmons was even eligible. Sister got a job. Paul and Lebron have been "courting him" since 2014? What about impermissable contact with an agent? Or is that not a rule anymore?
I really wonder what the Players Association thinks about LeBron’s role in the agency. Has there been another athlete that was so involved in the representation of others? Isn’t there a conflict of interest in there somewhere?

Draft express…now working under the umbrella of ‘The vertical’…had immediately bumped Simmons down to #2 due him not fitting Phillys team needs.
I was under the impression that team needs arent factored intoock Drafts, at least until after the lottery.
Looks like Woj is calling the shots and Givonys independent site is now compromised.
