I believe the Bucks have something going with their young core of Jabari Parker, Khris Middleton, and Giannis Antetenkounmpo. I actually believe that might be the best young trio of players in the league 25 years and younger. I know a lot of people might side with the Timberwolves w/ Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, and Zach LaVine. But, I don’t really love Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine as a lot of people do. I don’t really see anything special in Zach LaVine but a Jamal Crawford like player that will go off on any opponent for a couple games a month and be pretty quite for the rest of the time. And I don’t see the all around game he possess, he’s a pretty poor passer and rebounder for a guy w/ that physical makeup and athletic prowess. I love Towns though.
As for the Bucks, I love all three players, this coming from a Miami Heat fan that have zero ties to the city or team. This core seem to click once the all star break and they all are showing their potential, especially Giannis and Jabari. SB Nation wrote an article about Jabari Parker talking about how good he is already w/o being able to take jump shots (Here’s the article – http://www.sbnation.com/2016/3/4/11159998/jabari-parker-highlights-shooting-milwaukee-bucks). Jabari Parker is so great now w/ basically being a cutter and just finishing around the basket, I actually believe he might be one of the best finishers in the league w/o looking up the stats. Giannis is also playing at another level right now. He just got threw posting his third triple double since the all star break. At first I thought his peak was Nic Batum, but he’s showing a new level of player that I never seen before. I don’t recall we ever seing a 6’11" point guard before, and he actually doing pretty well.
I know this year as a whole might have been a disappointment in many eyes because of their expectations to be a 4th seed in the eastern conference playoffs, but I believe this year turned into a success. This season disappointments turned out to be a success for the Bucks. They could’ve won by bring in tons of vets, but they went young and have the young players grow and learn throughout the season.
In the draft I believe Jamal Murray is a perfect fit for this Bucks team. He wouldn’t step on Giannis toes as it comes to being the primary ball handler. I see him as more of a tweener. He don’t have the playmaking ability to become a full time point and Giannis does. And I believe he fit the Bucks roster w/ his floor spacing ability. If there’s a dream pick for the Bucks, it is Jamal Murray. In the offseason the Bucks should try to trade Monroe and add more floor spacers and defenders.

I agree with most of your post but IMO the best fit for Milwaukee in this class is Jakob Poeltl. Greg Monroe is not a great fit at starting center for them. They need a better defender to protect the rim and Poeltl should be able to do that while still providing soft hands and passing ability on offense.
Good to see Parker and Giannis playing so well. And Middleton was a great signing and is just 24 himself. The future is definitely bright so long as they lock up their core long term.

  What if the odds worked in their favor and they came away with Simmons or Ingram? Could they really pass up on Simmons even if his skill set is redundant with Giannis? I can’t see it. Ingram would give them crazy length/size (as would Simmons) and the shooting and floor spacing they need. Imagine them rolling out situational lineups of Giannis/Middleton/Simmons or Ingram/Parker/Monroe or Henson or Plumlee? This lineup’s obvious flaw is defending quicker guards but Coach Kidd has done well on the defensive end of the floor and likely already has ideas/currently deploys schemes and tactics to counteract it.

    If they can get a top 2 pick then I might trade back if I was the Bucks to collect more assets. Ben Simmons is a great player, but he plays similarly to Giannis, who some might see as the better prosect. I don’t believe the need any wing players

I agree that Jamal Murray is probably the best fit in the higher part of the draft for them.

Thanks for linking that article about Jabari. I’m probably the most frustrated when it comes to Jabari not getting enough touches in the offense. I really think they should let him handle the ball a lot more because his moves are really advanced, but he doesn’t get the chance to show it. It just shows though how much of a team player Jabari is, as Kidd did say in one interview that Jabari is sacrifing touches for the better of the team.

Thanks for linking that article about Jabari. I’m probably the most frustrated when it comes to Jabari not getting enough touches in the offense. I really think they should let him handle the ball a lot more because his moves are really advanced, but he doesn’t get the chance to show it. It just shows though how much of a team player Jabari is, as Kidd did say in one interview that Jabari is sacrifing touches for the better of the team.
