raybeasParticipantPer yahoo sources. Pacers will buy out Chase Budinger to sign Ty Lawson. No contract number reported yet.

220ParticipantI didn’t see that coming. It makes sense though, the Pacers are weak at point guard and Ty Lawson needs an opportunity to prove himself again.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIs it true that he’s not eligible to play in the playoffs since the deal is after 3/1???

BleedGreen808ParticipantI believe Lawson is eligible as long as he was bought out by the 1st. So Budinger who is being bought out to make room for Lawson won’t be eligible on a playoff team.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe Pacers have done a great job tweaking their roster and adding personnel to create a fast paced offense. Two years ago if you told me Lawson and Ellis would form a backcourt that would be an impossible backcourt duo to keep up with on paper. Can’t wait to see how it works.

DolanCareParticipantI would have made an agressive move for Lawson if I were Utah or Milwaukee. He actually would be a great fit for those teams and I just don’t see how he works in Indiana- well, not as long as Ellis starts as well.
