daggers818ParticipantI was just imagining Larry Bird playing on the Warriors team today? That would be insane. His vision, passing, shooting, and all-around court play would compliment the Warriors so well, I think. I’d put him in place of Barnes on the "death squad" unit.
What other players from any era would you like to swap into one of today’s teams? Only one swap per team though.

lalailaParticipantOverall I cant believe such a shooter like Bird avg 2 threes per game( I mean ATTEMPTS) it todays game he would easily shoot 8-9 per game, and that would be a nightmare for defenses with possibility that he would be full time strench four in todays NBA

lalailaParticipantOh and if Draymond is avg 7+ assists just imagine Magic in his place rebounding the ball going full court and having Curry on the left Klay on the right.. triple double season?

trelos6ParticipantI’ll go with Wilt Chamberlain on the 2009 Magic team, replacing Dwight Howard.
That would be interesting.

r377ParticipantDominique Wilkins back on the Hawks. Teague / Korver / Wilkins / Milsap / Horford
David robinson on spurs Parker / Manu / Leonard / Duncan / Robinson
Charles Barkley on Wizards Wall / Beal / Porter / Barkely / Gortat
Chris Mullin on Warriors Curry / thomspon / Mullin / Green / Bogut
John Stockton on Jazz Stockton / Hood / Hayward / Favors / Gobert
My Pistons Joe dumars Jackson / Dumars / Morris / Harris / Drummond (still prob wouldn’t beat warriors in 7 games though)
Drexler to Wolves Rubio / Drexler / Wiggins / Towns / Dieng
Hakeem to Charlotte Walker / batum / MKG / Marv Williams / Ojajuwon

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI bet Lebron and KD would kill for a prime Hakeem on their team. Dominant on both ends of the court, he would be less of a vocal distraction and less of a liability from the free throw line than someone like Shaq.
Scottie Pippin would be the missing peace in LA for the Clippers. A lock down wing defender who can also handle the ball when CP3 comes out of the game as well as excel as a third option on offense.
The Raptors could definitely use a dominant PF. Karl Malone in his prime would be perfect.
Of course a 30 year old MJ would probably put any team in contention but in particular I think he would be a great fit with NO. They desperately need talent on the wings, help on both sides of the ball, need intensity and could really use a star veteran to keep AD focused and learning good habits.

asmartin626Participanti think Wilt on the Warriors could be interesting. Replace Bogut, played over 48 min a game one season so you could play him every second of the first 3 quarters and still run small ball in the 4th. Could dump down to him and teams would have to double leaving shooters open. Could run the floor and was an excellent and willing passer. Offensive boards leads to open shooters.
TMac on the Clippers. Best player I watched with my own eyes personally. Clippers are a star wing away from being deadly. He’d take over leading scorer role, Blake as 2 and Paul 3rd option. 2way player could be secondary ball handler as well.
Shaq on the pacers. Would definitely be half court offense, so I think Myles Turner could be a stretch 4 in that system. Paul George is probably my favorite player right now. Hill ain’t no worse than Fisher and he made it work with him. Ellis can slash and do his thing while Shaq gets doubled and tripled.
I liked the Reggie Miller to OKC idea, but I could see peak Ray Allen in that role too. Spot up shooter. Underrated athlete early on in career. I could see him fitting right in.

ZouldiersParticipantBill Russell on the Big 3 era Celtics with KG, Pierce and Allen. His defense would make the Celtics even tougher whew. Hell, he would actually help the current Celtics as well since they need post defense and rim protection.

HitsterParticipantBut MJ on current Philly team and see Hinkie trying to trade him for some future draft picks! Seriously though I wonder just how much a peak MJ could improve the current Philly team, he’d get so many shots probably put up 40ppg.
Bill Russell on current GSW team would be scary, he’d just dominate defence and let the other guys do their stuff.
Peak Grant Hill on the GSW team also sprang to mind.
One I mentioned before on previous posts if Magic had not had health issues, him pulling the strings for the Shaq/young Kobe Lakers era.
Peak Ray Allen on the current Cavs team, open shot waiting to happen.
