nath09ParticipantMike Beasley heading to the Rockets!
Mike Beasley doubling up on all the things the Rockets admire in their roster, Harden’s D, Josh Smith’s IQ and Harden and Dwight’s loveable personalities.
I would love to be a fly on the wall in their locker room. Who knows maybe you add so many oddballs to a team that you eventually all balance each other out and things fall in to place.
Well that is unless your Terrence Jones who now must be officially done in Houston.

Robb_CParticipantWith all the potheads on that roster, Bill Walton should be the Head Coach

phila9012ParticipantMorey must not understand people. Houston keeps going after players with out caring how their personalities fit together and their play styles. Harden and howard aren’t leaders. There is no one on that team who is a leader and he keeps bringing questionable personalities. Numbers are important but so are the personalities. Money ball works in baseball because each players battting performance depends on the one player, in basketball the players have to work together. If Harden doesn’t like howard, howard is going to get less touches and points and probably be less engaged on defense.

Jr. ROXASParticipantOf all steams why Houston… Beasley’s maybe his last chance to go to the NBA and he chooses a team where careers and perceptions of players go haywire. I feel bad for him.
I heard he turned down a massive contract from Maccabi Tel Aviv to sign the veteran’s minimum for Houston. If he plays well for one of the best team’s in Europe, I just feel the perception of him being a cancer will start to fade. And he will learn a lot in term’s of discipline when playing in Europe, where the ball-movement is Spurs-esque, rather than in Houston where all he learns is to spot up in the corner while Harden isos for 23 seconds.

r377ParticipantThe Rockets are a complete mess going downhill. At least with 2K on xbox, you can turn the power off and reset.
What next for the Rockets ? Sign Baron Davis ?

Hype MachineI dont understand why the league just doesnt let B-Easy smoke up. Doesnt seem any different to drinking alcohol. Doctor says he needs it…so let the man smoke. I bet his stats would skyrocket if he could just take the edge off with a little pre-game kush.
No way Malace at the Palace takes place if Ben Wallace’s brother throws a spliff at Ron Artest, instead of ‘the official drug of the nba’ aka Budweiser.
The stadium’s snack bars would triple in sales overnight.

HitsterParticipantAlways entertaining to see Beasley back in the NBA. Sadly his off court antics overshadowed his genuine on-court potential. I’d always be interested to know if the Heat were aware of his recreational drug use prior to them drafting him.
I always wonder if his habit was known about as right away it rules him out of Team USA for events like the Olympics. If the testers had heard any rumours about Beasley they would have been all over Team USA, busting a Dream Team member would have been huge. Imagine if it possibly cost Team USA their gold medals as Relay Teams as a whole have been disqualified if one member failed a drug test. I would not have wanted to be in Beasley’s shoes if Coach K discovered one of his team had failed a drug test or if Kobe or LBJ found out the team might be disqualified.
Beasley can always go back to Europe and earn good money and he had a high rookie deal and a 3 year extension from Phoenix so he has made a good amount from his NBA career which he can supliment in Europe.
All joking apart I hope he can make a go of things in Houston and possibly remain in the NBA.
