Apparently SVG wasnt amazed by motiejunas’s back.. so joel anthony is coming back. kind of glad we are getting a 1st round pick back too, especially after this 5 game losing skid.. but thornton could have helped out the bench bigtime.

Don’t blame them at all.  Back’s can be a lingering issue for big men.  Don’t want to give up assets and pay a guy when he might not be healthy down the road.

Although, I do feel bad for Detroit since I thought bringing in both of those guys would have been a big for them down the stretch.

It makes sense. A big guy with a bad back usually doesn’t work out well. Once the Pistons asked for an extension on the physical I expected this to happen. It has to suck for the players who all have to go back to a team that didn’t want them. I think the Pistons will be glad to get that pick back because it seemed too high a price to me.

This is very good news. The pick was only top 8 protected and the pistons are currently not in the playoffs.

John Jenkins just got waived, can sign him on the cheap.

Can go after J Lamb, Crabbe or Gerald Henderson in the offseason……

I figured you’d be happy since you weren’t thrilled with the trade from the beginning.

haha I don’t think there would of been too many Pistons fans who were excited about this.

GM’s go gaga and overvalue draft picks just before the NBA draft. If they were to trade their draft pick, they would get a lot more better offers leading up to the draft, rather than midseason

dissapointed that D-Mo isnt going to be coming to the pistons but if his back is truly still a problem then it is in no way worth a first round draft pick. D-Mo was a remarkable fit though as a guy that could play next to drummond or spell him at times. A big with his shooting, posts skills and passing would be huge for our second unit.

If only the Thunder could rescind their atrocious trade.

I know I’ve said it before, but I just don’t understand how Presti used to be considered one of if not the best GM, but the last few years he’s been absolutely trash, pretty sure he’s not even trying anymore.

OKC already have a horrible chucker in Waiters, grabbing Foye makes literally zero sense. Went 1/5 in his first game, good job.

Hopefully Presti can prove me wrong, I wonder if he had plans to move Waiters at the deadline, then I could kind of understand grabbing Foye. But even if that was the case who the flip would want Waiters? He’s 9/36 in his last 5 games, looking like one of the worst players in the league right now.

I think it did put OKC under the cap, and their roster is now at 14, but I just don’t see anyone that special in free agency. They may opt to sign a vet or something to help them in the last stretch of the season. Maybe they can sign Ray Allen and give him another chance at a ring, and he can teach Waiters & Foye how to shoot.

Sorry for hijacking this thead, there wasn’t one for Foye already and it wasn’t good enough of a trade to even create one. My rants over.

I am glad we got our first round draft pick back. I bet our scouts would be attending Michigan State games to check out Denzel Valentine…..
