 So who is going to help Conley with outside shooting. Jeff Green was a key for them off the bench. They could lose their spot in the playoffs.

It’s a nice trade, however it’s not enough for the Clips to beat OKC, Spurs, or the Champs Dubs in a playoff series. The current Clip core have been together for 3-4 years and what do they have to show for it? I remember reading over last summer that Doc Rivers plans is if the Clippers can’t do anything this playoff series. He would start making moves to break up the core and move forward. And right now, counting Jeff Green in a Clipper uniform. I see the Clippers breaking up this core after they exit out…in either the 1st or 2nd round again!

Like the deal for lac and definitely makes them better in the short-term but I’m still not sure it’s enough to give them a realistic chance to come out of the west. It was probably about the best they could hope for without trading away any of their core players though.

Seems like Memphis is just giving up on this season.

 Rivers had the idea that Pierce and Green at small forward was a way to win, I think he has tried that before.

Some interesting draft pick trades.  Traded a 1st for a coach.  Traded a 1st to move out Jared Dudley’s contract.  Might have traded a 1st to rent Jeff Green for two months.

With Blake still being a question mark for suspension and health, I think Jeff Green will do well. He has always been caught in between positions. I think with the spacing the Clippers offer, he can do well at the 4.

Lance has always been hard to figure, and will continue. I don’t think anyone will deny that he was really good in 13-14 with Indiana, but can it be replicated? Charlotte and Los Angeles were disasters.

 I love Jeff Greens defensive versatility but I really think they needed someone who spaces the floor like Frye. Green only shooting 30% and making .8 per game. But todays NBA requires you to have that 6’7-6’9 guy who can do it all and thats him.

 Its a good move for both teams. Clippers get a small forward, who may not be a great shooter, but he specifically a very good corner 3-point shooter. Put him in the corners and he can space the floor. He’s athletic and can play and up n down game.
