phila9012Participantyou forgot chris anderson, chalmers and hairston. They really are the grind house this year. I don’t think they are going to score many points but they are not going to be fun to play. Hairston could upset a few players and cause them to take out their anger him on the court.

220ParticipantNice pickup for the Clippers. Hopefully Doc can keep Jeff Green playing consistently.

tblazer_NZParticipantSo who is going to help Conley with outside shooting. Jeff Green was a key for them off the bench. They could lose their spot in the playoffs.

OaktownWarriorsParticipantIt’s a nice trade, however it’s not enough for the Clips to beat OKC, Spurs, or the Champs Dubs in a playoff series. The current Clip core have been together for 3-4 years and what do they have to show for it? I remember reading over last summer that Doc Rivers plans is if the Clippers can’t do anything this playoff series. He would start making moves to break up the core and move forward. And right now, counting Jeff Green in a Clipper uniform. I see the Clippers breaking up this core after they exit out…in either the 1st or 2nd round again!

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantLike the deal for lac and definitely makes them better in the short-term but I’m still not sure it’s enough to give them a realistic chance to come out of the west. It was probably about the best they could hope for without trading away any of their core players though.
Seems like Memphis is just giving up on this season.

mixtape2003ParticipantDid anybody hear why the Horford to Toronto trade didn’t go through, I got a notification he got traded but haven’t heard any other details.

ExumInfernoParticipantRivers had the idea that Pierce and Green at small forward was a way to win, I think he has tried that before.
Some interesting draft pick trades. Traded a 1st for a coach. Traded a 1st to move out Jared Dudley’s contract. Might have traded a 1st to rent Jeff Green for two months.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantWith Blake still being a question mark for suspension and health, I think Jeff Green will do well. He has always been caught in between positions. I think with the spacing the Clippers offer, he can do well at the 4.
Lance has always been hard to figure, and will continue. I don’t think anyone will deny that he was really good in 13-14 with Indiana, but can it be replicated? Charlotte and Los Angeles were disasters.

HitsterParticipantStrange for Memphis to trade to a rival but they do get a first rounder out of it and Green may have moved on as an FA in the summer. If Memphis could get Stephenson playing again it might be a good deal for them.
I guess Doc hopes that Green resigns with LAC in the summer.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI love Jeff Greens defensive versatility but I really think they needed someone who spaces the floor like Frye. Green only shooting 30% and making .8 per game. But todays NBA requires you to have that 6’7-6’9 guy who can do it all and thats him.

DolanCareParticipantWhy is everyone lauding the Clips for this trade? Memphis moved Green’s expiring for a first round pick. Throw in Lance Stephenson, who is a cancer normally, but can you think of a better parenting core than Tony Allen and Zach Randolph?
Tony Allen will sell Lance for a carton of cigarettes the instant he acts up.

BiggysmallsParticipantIts a good move for both teams. Clippers get a small forward, who may not be a great shooter, but he specifically a very good corner 3-point shooter. Put him in the corners and he can space the floor. He’s athletic and can play and up n down game.
Still doesn’t change them. They were the 4th best team in the West and 5th best in the league. Still probably exactly that.
Grizzlies are interesting. Wonder if all these crazies have a negative impact on Conley though. He’s going to hit free agency and losing him would be massive.

BKGingerSnapParticipantThis is the 3rd team to give up on Jeff Green. Jeff Green looks so good at times but he never really comes through when you need him. This is still a good trade for the clippers but they’re still the 4th best team in the west but I’m glad Doc still keeps trying to pick up former celtics or former celtics playoff opponents.
The grizz know the writing is on the wall for atleast this season. Might as well get a first rounder for down the road
