KHAM83ParticipantSo I’ve refrained from posting trade ideas for a long while, maybe have done one all season. As a Hawks fan, I rather stay the course, but if we do trade Al, I think we should blow it up. With that said, I’m only sending him to Boston if we get Brooklyn’s pick.

Who says no? Houston gets a nice return that fits, Boston gets two great additions, that it Boston is willing to pay, would probably love to play alongside each other. Both bigs has played their career without the benefits of having another big alongside them. Would this be enough for Boston to give up Brooklyn’s pick? I think the risk is worth it for them.

warson24I’m not sure Ainge will give up a Top 3 pick for two expiring contracts, plus if Howard re-signs, he’ll be wastly overpaid, not to mention his character issues, C’s would be happier with Millsap.
I’m also not sure that’s a great deal for the Hawks either, giving up two All Stars for a bunch of garbage players and a pick in a draft, where’s a huge talent drop after Simmons and Ingram.
Houston clearly wins that, as they are recently struggling to get more for Howard than an injured free agent to be Al Jefferson.0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2016 - 6:30am #1043638

morestealsthanscoresParticipanthmm…don’t think i like it. it’s ambitious for boston, who probably says yes, even with that brooklyn pick – that’d be a hell of a front line. Rockets say yes, because they get a legit player to replace Howard. But I think Atlanta gets screwed, to be honest – giving up two all-stars for the Brooklyn pick (we don’t even know what number that will be yet) and a load of junk. It’s too big a price.

publius2481ParticipantBoston is not gving up the Brooklyn pick for expiring contracts. I hate to break this to Hawks fans, but Horford will not get you a lottery pick this year (unless you are dealing with an idiot team and neither the Kings and nor the Nets have a lottery pick to trade) because his contract is expiring.
