capecodderParticipantWhen draft picks are used in a trade, how does it calculate to even off compensation?

KingslayerParticipantThe draft picks carry no "value" in terms of salary compensation. Not all trades need to have matching salaries however. Teams who are below the salary cap (and don’t end up more than 100k over the cap following a trade), can freely trade without any regard for salary. The salary matching restrictions are in place for teams above the cap who are making a trade. Those teams above the cap can’t acquire more than the trading partner (in salaries) above certain thresholds.
