SamCarlsonParticipantI have a trade idea in my mind that I would love to see happen. There might need to be some more incentive thrown to one team than the other but it centers around two players.
Jabari Parker to Portland for CJ McCollum.
Why it works for the Blazers: I think this Portland team is falling into the trap that Phoenix did two years ago with Beldsoe and Dragic. I like the back court of Lillard and CJ a lot but they dont bring much size or defense, and the balance is not there with a lack of front court scoring. Jabari has underperformed and CJ is def the better player now, but Jabari is still 20, 6’9" 250, and is in a bad situation. They would take a step back this year (but why chase the 8 seed to get blown out and lose a lottery pick) but Jabari would thrive with the spacing provided by Lillard. Also would give them a chance to see what Crabbe can do.
Starters: Lillard, Crabbe, Aminu, Jabari, Plumlee
Why it works for the Bucks: They clearly need more floor spacing and shooting, there are some intriguinig peices and I have loved the Jabari/Giannis combo since before Jabari was even drafted, but the spacing is very cramped, both of them move like threes but have limited range. Middleton (6’8" 230) can easily slide to the 3 and Giannis can become a full time (small ball) PF. CJ plays the 2 on offense but MCW gives them the size to guard SG on the opposite end. This will also give Monroe and Giannis more space down low and MCW more lanes to do what he is best at with driving and finding open shooters.
Starters: MCW, CJ, Middleton, Giannis, Monroe

gopack10ParticipantNot a terrible idea overall, but why would Portland want to give up half of their new two-headed monster for for Parker, a player who hasn’t shown a ton of promise?
There would have to be something else going from Milwaukee to Portland to make this happen.

SamCarlsonParticipantCould package Rashad Vaughn into the mix as well. He is a solid young prospect

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantA straight up McCollum for Parker deal would not work. There would have to be other players or teams involved.
I still think Milwaukee looks at Parker as a franchise cornerstone and doubt they would be looking to move him yet and McCollum has been playing at a borderline all-star level this year so why would they trade him for a guy who, although talented, is still unproven.
If Milwaukee is going to make a major move to shake up their roster, it will more than likely be Monroe who is shipped out.

Fredette About ItParticipantNot too bad of a trade but like Dazzling said Jabari is one of their cornerstones and just cant trade away a #2 pick.. With seeing some Monroe Rumors and bledsoe/knight/booker/goodwin situation i came up with this..
Chandler, Bledsoe and Tucker for Monroe, Vasquez and Bayless..
Milwaukee adds more defense to their already defensive squad(hopefully resurge what they had lastyear) gets their starting pg because i dont feel like MCW is their answer..
Starters – Bledsoe, Middleton, Giannis, Parker and Chandler.. Bench is MCW, Mayo, Tucker, Henson and Plumlee.. with Vauhgn and Ennis as prospects.. plus projected like 8th pick so possibly draft your next big man like Poetl..
Phoenix adds a inside scorer who could play alongside Len but more or less clears up their guard problem and gets rid of Chandler/tuckers longer contracts.. Vasquez and bayless both expiring and possibly resign Bayless whose accustomed to second unit.
Starters – Knight, Booker, Warren, Morris and Monroe.. Bench is Bayless, Goodwin, Draft pick, Teletovic and Len.. Morris is also probably shipped out so i know its a bit flawed.. but Phoenix as it stands is projectd 4th pick.. if they can get a highly touted SF and move Warren to the bench.. worse case they move down to 6th and get stuck picking BPA either Dunn or Poetl.. if they keep their current team and have Dunn fall to them then just causes more chaos.. or Poetl and have Len/Chandler

MopgrassParticipantThe Blazers know how to find guards. I have no sense of time, but at some point didn’t they have Damian Lillard, C.J. McCullom, Wesley Matthews, Wil Barton, and Allen Crabbe? That’s impressive.
Side note: wouln’t the Blazers, instead, want a 76er center for that price?

NBAjunkie81ParticipantI understand on the surface it looks like a good fit for both teams & I realize Milwaukee has only 1 winning season in their last 13 years….. but Parker & Vaughn are So young & I still like their upside – A Lot….
I like what Portland is doing too….. I think Milwaukee’s main problem is at PG – they are 18 games Under .500 since the MCW trade….. they really need some floor spacing a PG who can shoot a little bit….
I think Jamal Murray would be a great fit for the Bucks…… That is a really nice young core w/ Murray, Vaughn, Parker, the Greek & Monroe…..

Bmore_DCParticipantI think Portland would want more than a wing who cant shoot or play much defense. The potential is there, but McCollum has the potential AND the skills already. I think maybe Parker, Vaughn, and a pick gets it done, and it does really help the Bucks spread the floor.

BennyLogParticipantI think the big winner would be cj McCollum as his stats would blow up if he was the number one scorer resulting in a huge contract. I dont really think that trade makes either team that much better unless McCollum turns into a superstar. Parker doesnt seem like he will ever be much more than a borderline all star and a solid player.
