bmac697ParticipantDisappointment don’t want to say bust yet. but have to be Skal for me. He just doesn’t seem to have that confidence or effort you want in a dominante post player. He looks scared of contact almost and can’t rebound at 6’11 like really. I remember reading somehting saying rebounding isnt about your height its about the effort and going back to my previous statement, he just doesn’t seem to be putting in the effort of a top 5 players.
Suprise for me would have to be Buddy Hield, I didnt hear about him at all before, but im impressed with what he has been able to accomplish this year and has the mold and mental make up of a legit NBA player.

MopgrassParticipantSkal just needs some time. I never got people’s obsession with Svi Mykhailiuk. At the beginning of last year some had him listed as being the 1st draft pick this year. Maybe he just needs time too, but I don’t get the appeal.

JoeWolf1Svi is actually almost a full year younger than Skal. He turned 17 the summer before his freshman year at Kansas. Do I think he’s a future top 5 pick? Probably not, doubt even a top 10, but he’s a big guard with a nice stroke, who’s gotten noticeably stronger since last season.
Next season will be big for him. I still think he could work his way into the late lottery or mid-1st round in 2017. He’s an intangibles player who’s been asked to be a long range specialist this year, and it really hasn’t worked out so hot. He’s actually younger than Josh Jackson who’s in the High School class of 2017.

circumlocution75Participantbe by the June 2016 NBA Draft, only Baldwin is still a teen – ager (he will turn 20 in March)…… so Valentine, Hield, Utoff & Johnson are def all having excellent years but they have had the chance to grow under the Radar (to different extents – Hield was a projected late 1st round 2015 pick)…….
Skal Labissiere is still a 19 y/o freshman & even Malik Pope – who missed close to two years w/ a Major injury is playing his First full season in 4 years & is only 19…… Svi Mykhailiuk is 18…. So I would Def Not label these kids busts….. Give them time to develop……
