I’m not proposing a trade idea, but I wanted to know if anyones think the Cavs might have some interest in Melo since they are in a win now mode. Could this happen and if it were what kind of draft picks do you think the Knicks could aquire from the Cavs?

They have no draft picks to trade until 2018, and there’s nothing on their roster outside of their top players, who they aren’t trading anyway, who the Knicks would want for Melo. If the Knicks were to trade Melo I think they would find a better package elsewhere.

I don’t know who you meant by Top Players but there’s only one, Lebron James.  Kyrie is being asked by Lue to play as a PG and you can feel how much of a struggle it is for him to play that role. Kevin Love is nto a "top player", there are already rumors about him being traded.  He is a glorified Ryan Anderson offensively that can pick up unimportant rebounds.  He’s not in shape, If you can get Value for Kevin Love, you need to trade him.

I don’t think Phil Jackson is dumb, so he won’t trade Melo for Kevin Love as someone suggested earlier.  Let’s just expose Love for what he is.  I don’t know about Markieff Morris level, but I think Morris gives you more than Love, because Cleveland is going to win through its defense…

If you can trade Love and get a 3 and D guy………..thats who they need.

Kevin Love is not a top player in this league…

Love for Al Horford and Thabo Sefolosha.. Horford probably won’t resign next summer, might aswell trade him now.. Sefolosha is a bum also who broke his leg fighting a cop or something, pretty sure they’d like to dump his bumness

The problem the Cavs face is there top three players need the ball in their hands to be productive. Melo is a similar player, so I am not sure he makes them better. I assume the Cavs would have to give up either Love or Irving to get Melo and personally I would stick with the two younger players already on the roster. Melo is about to hit the declining stage of his career, so I don’t think the Cavs should trade for him.
