    http://www.as.com/baloncesto/articulo/baloncesto-salida-penya-vender-ricky/dasbal/20090708dasdaibal_2/Tes

for those who dont understand spanish, the article says that ricky is ready to pay 3mill to come to the nba rigth now,dkv is for now,not going to accept, and teams like madrid or unicaja are both very intrested in the player.

this rest it´s personal thougts, not in the article

it´s well know here in spain that dkv desperatly needs money, they can´t resing one of their best prospects(pau ribas) cause they dont match tau´s offer.

the problem is´former dkv player and actual president says they dont let ricky be in their roster if ricky´s lawyers continue with the cause on the cort.
so,if they decide to let the player leave for me it´s more likely that he goes to the nba, cause they dont like see ricky in a rival team for sure, but who knows?if madrid is ready to pay all the buyout and ricky sings for madrid a new contract, making a lot more money and leaving the trip to the states for at least 2-3 years.

anyway,we´ve got to wait some weeks to see what happens

I wanna know if he’s actually going to play in the U.S. I’m tired of him going back and forth. Rubio is a great player, but he’s acting up like James & Ariza.

but he dont made up his mind cause the money,i mean, the contract for a 5th pick it´s not even close to the top 3,if he pays the whole buyout by himself he´s going to play for FREE 2 years, thats why i think all the stuff about “he dont want to go to memphis” by dan feagn was a huge mistake.

Why would he enter the draft if he didnt wanna come over here he had to have looked at the teams about 2-6 and ealize they were all small market teams….other than sacromento sorta…..and the salary is a guarenteed in a certain price range….why would he enter the draft if he wasnt planning to come over?

Hopefully he comes over. The kid can play. Anyone that watched him in the Olympics alone know this. He held his own against the two best point guards in the NBA (Deron Williams and Chris Paul) as well as Jason Kidd. I have heard Kobe Bryant talk about how good he is.

As far as his situation, I agree that if he comes over, he will basically be paying his team to play for them. Though he probably has one of the few jobs that would be fun to do for free. Do any of you want to work at your jobs for two years for free or worse, end up having to pay your employer to work for them? Let’s be realistic about the situation though. Not only is that a problem, but let’s keep in mind that he easily went to the least talented team in the NBA. They draft him and then draft another pg right behind him. I’m not sure of too many guys that would be happy or understand that, especially when you consider that they have no shooting guards, centers or any shooters for that matter on their team. It was a horrible plan for a horrible team that STILL doesn’t even have a coach. There are a lot of players that end up having their careers destroyed or derailed because they end up in horrible situations. He is almost destined to fail if he goes there.

According to what you’re saying, I think DKV should just sell Ricky to Madrid for the whole buyout. Then DKV will get the money they want and be done with him. Rubio develops for 2-3 years in Madrid, then comes over. I honestly don’t think this is as big a deal for Minnesota as some fans think. Minnesotta is gonna struggle for a few years regardless. Flynn can run the point while Rubio, who is still really young, can develop over seas. If Flynn proves himself as the starting point, then they have a great trade asset in Rubio. If Flynn, flops, then they bring over Rubio who should be more prepared to step in and help. Meanwhile, the Wolves will be losing regardless stockpiling lottery picks. And I don’t see anyway Flynn and Rubio would work together anyway.

This is the only exciting thing coming from Minnesota sports.
