What do ya’ll think about Jawun Evans’ pro potential? I saw him for the first time in the Kansas upset and was really impressed. He turned the ball over a good bit but had an otherwise perfect game and really outshined all of Kansas’ draft prospects his age, like Svi and Diallo.

I just checked out his numbers, and he’s having a really solid season statistically for a freshman (12.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 5.1 apg – which is 3rd in the Big 12). He also had his two best games against the two best teams OSU has played: 22-6-8 agaisnt Kansas and 42-7-6 against Oklahoma. However, he’s not in either mock on this site, and DE only has him as the #45 player in his class.

Can someone more familiar with Evans’ game expand on why he seems to be flying under the radar?

Evans is one of my favourite prospects for next year. He is a speedy and crafty finisher with a nice pull up jumper. He is an exceptional passer and gets flashy and accurate with no look passes and bounce passes. Also when Evans is hot he stays hot.
