How does everyone think Ben Simmons would be fairing thus far in the season? Give a team by team analysis if you think he wouldn’t have gone #1, #2, or so on; and feel free to add opinions on other prospects who might have declared had the option been available.

I think he’d have gone #2.  No way the Lakers take Russell ahead of Simmons. Twolves rightfully take the cant-miss 7 footer in Towns…

Straight off 3 national championships, and a very good showing in front of scouts at the exhibition games.

He’d be watching Kobe shoot a lot, and wouldn’t have anyone else to run the floor. So it would be a tough season.

    I think 12ppg, 6rpg, 3apg, 44% fg on the Lakers.

However if he slipped to Philly at #3 his stats would go up dramatically.

18ppg, 9rpg, 4.5apg and complete control of the offense. At least 4 turnovers and a lot of foul trouble….but still good counting stats.

I think 18 ppg once he gets a better jumpshot is realistic with his unselfish style. But today with no jumpshot?Naw not even with the sixers

Tony Wroten averaged 17 a game last year for the Sixers and he can’t shoot a lick. Simmons is starting to see he needs to be more aggressive offensively with the rest of his team struggling so I think 18 a game as a rookie would be very possible on the Sixers roster.

If he played for the Lakers: 12.15 pts, 5.83 rbds, 5.38 as, 1.23 st, 0.91 bl, 32.65 min. He would have a girlfriend called Cynthia and drive a black Mustang Shelby. His hairdo would be different, but nice all the same. He would have had an argument with Kobe on November 8th, and then again 3 days later, at 4:32 pm.

If you’d like to get similar information for other teams, please let me know. If you wonder how Oden would have fared without the injuries, had he been selected by the Knicks, and how that would have impacted Porzingis’ development and state of happiness, you’re welcome.

This entire premise of this site is speculations and hypothetics; what are you doing here, exactly?

If Simmons was eligible last year I would think he would go 1 or 2 which means the Knicks most likely would have passed on Porzingis to grab D’Angelo Russell or Jahlil Okafor. I would think the Magic would have snatched Porzingis up at 5. Imagine this Magic team with Porzingis anchoring the inside on defense, and adding his shooting ability to a team that desperately needs it . The Magic could have been a young dynasty in the making. I don’t even want to think about that as a Knicks fan…

     Altho….

Skal was ahead of Simons at the time of the draft..so maybe they Twolves take him #1;in what would have been a big mistake.

Seems crazy to think about now, but he did have some really impressive practice sessions.

Was a good move by the decision makers. There are one or two guys from his class that might do well out of high school. However I look at all the guys that were projected number 1 and top 5 picks that got exposed when they went to college l, would have killed a lot fo franchises had they been allowed to declare out of high school. Guys like Derrick Caracter, Paul Harris, Shabazz Muhammad, Wayne Selden, Harrison Barnes stocked dropped in college though he was still a lottery but out of high school people said a sure fire number 1 pick. They list goes on and is huge.

But Simmons could contribute right now..
