Gold ChainIn December, 4 games, KP is shooting 64% from 3, pulling him even with Olynyk for the season at 36.1%, though KO shoots about twice as many.
KO’s shooting 46% from 3 this month, but it’s obvious that KO is a poor man’s KP, and that’s more than OK.

IlladelphParticipantHmmm…. The infamous Kelly Olynyk loving, shameless Celtic pumper, "T-Rex" disappears, and suddenly "Gold Chain" appears and picks up right where T-Rex left off. Coincidence? Or… could there be more to this? You make the call.

Hype MachineExecs from Minny openly said they were really tempted to take KP after his workouts, but didn’t have the courage to pull the trigger on him at #1.
Of course they had another good, safe option so I’m not hating.
I’ve never heard Philly or especially LA say anything similar.

PulseGlazerParticipantNor should they. You don’t throw your own young guy under the bus like that. Well, the Lakers might, but Byron is a joke.

MatosParticipantI do like metric stats in certain cases but I hate the "per" stats because that doesn’t take into account the durability of a player. The more shots, possessions, minutes a player has, the more fatigued they become which could affect their percentages and effectiveness. Just saying these types of stats have to be taken with a grain of salt.

Gold ChainKP and KAT play identical minutes as starters at the same position, on comparable teams with comparable records.
Guess you didn’t think about that.

MatosParticipantI wasnt speaking to this situation particularly. I actually made that statement with Jahlil Okafor in mind but this was aimed more towards the people that assume someone’s production level would hold if given 36 minutes per contest.

MatosParticipantSomeone plays 2 minutes and gets a bucket and a rebound. Guess his 36pts/18reb per 36 is pretty impressive smart guy.

Gold Chainonly idiots over-emphasize small sample size, or use small sample size hypotheticals to dismiss stats, Odie.

MatosParticipantAnd only idiots multiply stats to assume a players productivity without factoring in other elements, jack.
