SlickBouncePassParticipantWith Kobe announcing his retirement…
HBO should do a special roundtable discussion (ESPN would overdramatize it)…
With the following around the same age in the same era with similar careers, multiple chips, good looking dudes, and even better looking women.
Tom Brady – 38 y.o. (8/77) / 2000 – 2015 / 4 superbowls
Kobe Bryant – 37 y.o. (8/78) / 1996 – 2015 / 5 championships
Tim Duncan – 39 y.o. (4/76) / 1997 – 2015 / 5 championships
Floyd Mayweather – 38 y.o. (2/77) / 1996 – 2015 / 5 division world champion
Derek Jeter – 41 y.o. (6/74) / 1996 – 2014 / 5 world series championships
Tiger Woods – 39 y.o. (12/75) / 1996 – 2015 / 14 Majors
Roger Federer – 34 y.o. (8/81) / 1998 – 2015 / 17 Majors
———–
I’d like to Include Peyton Manning (39 y.o. 3/76), but only 1 chip, but he was a great of the era. I guess Martin Brodeur fits the vibe for hockey (43 y.o. 5/72, 1993 – 2015 — 3 stanley cups, 4 Vezina trophies), but he’s older and not sure hockey players would fit in at the table, maybe Joe Sakic or Peter Forsberg.
———–
How would you rank on each of these careers??? Who would you rather be?

trelos6Participant1. Tiger Woods. Dude’s a billionaire. Won 14 majors. If he didn’t cheat on his hot wife, then he’d be a unanimous #1.
2. Federer. Married with 2 great kids, silky smooth game. Revered around the world. Hardly had an injury in his career.
3. Kobe. Created a brand, will generate lots of money from that brand after his retirement. Only negative was the sexual assault case.
4. Brady. Greatest QB ever? Very good prime, hot wife.
5. Jeter. NY loves him. Dated many hot women.
6. Duncan. Old man river walk. Made lots of money, but lost a lot with his lack of common sense in investing and trusting the wrong people.
7. Mayweather. Don’t like the guy, he’s a punk. As a boxer, he gets hit in the head. Likely to develop early onset dementia.

mavsatxParticipantOpen court on NBATV is a pretty good watch, although it wont include athletes outside of basketball. The coaches additon was especially cool and insightful.
Although bball is my fav sport i’d probably have to go with Brady as the guy who I would like to be. He is the man.

SlickBouncePassParticipant1. Floyd Mayweather – undefeated, never really been tested, absolute great.
2. Tom Brady – should have 6 chips and would be going for 7. Never cost himself in championship games (bad INT’s etc), is still going strong, best QB ever, one of the most difficult positions in sports.
3. Roger Federer – althoguh his career has steadily declined and others pass him by, he turned pro in 1998 and is still the No. 3 ranked player in the world.
4. Tim Duncan – longevity. Even as he aged is still the rock he once was. Stabilizer, great player.
5. Derek Jeter – on baseball biggest stage, played 19 seasons as SS on the NY Yankees, won 5 rings, was perfect off the field, had the hottest girls, and as his career progressed and his defense declined, he still did amazing Jeter-esque things (HRs in All-Star games, etc)
6. Tiger Woods – strange to have him 6, but after his social issues his career has kind of fallen apart and the younger guys are passing him by, occasionally will win a tournament but his game has turned ugly. He hasn’t had hte longevity some of these other guys have had.
7. Kobe Bryant – sometimes selfish, but an absolute warrior of a competitor. Not that being 7 on this list is a bad thing, sometimes playing a team sport I feel he cost his teammates.
Who Would I be? Jeter – I’d love playing SS on teh NYY, winning, and getting the girls Jeter had. Probably Mayweather as No. 2, and then Federer No. 3 and Brady 4, just because those guys were so great at their sports I’d love to throw the perfect counterpunch, hit the amazing one handed backhand, or just know without any doubt I was going to lift my teammates to a late game winning drive over and over while throwing darts. Tiger’s career kind of derailed and he never had fun even while kicking ass, and Kobe had too much drama in his career.
