Ish Smith is averaging 11 points and 8 assists a game in less than 30 minutes played. He nearly got a triple double last game. I’m not sure what to make of this…

Seen a lot of good things from Ish last year.  Sixers chose to go younger, giant friggin suprise there. He is excellent in P&R, makes for a wonderful backup PG. A bit undersized to defend but a gamer none the less.

Eh, not very impressive, and I’ll take it with a grain of salt. Greivis Vasquez did the exact same thing for NO a few years ago putting up 14/9 on good shooting numbers. Hollow stats on a terrible team, but I think like Greivis, it solidifies him as a back-up rotation player for a few more years, and gives him some job security.

He’s a good pick and roll offensive player, and played well in that role for the Sixers last year as well. I think asking him to do more than that is a bad idea as he is like IT, his size and stregth on defense mitigates alot of what they bring offensively

He has mind blowing speed and quickness lol. For real. He may be the fastest/quickest in the league. And what’s really special about his speed burst is he can go from 0-100 in like a second. He can get up the whole court in like 3-4 dribbles. He plays with a great motor and leaves it all out on the floor. I really like the kid. Great in P&R, like it was said above. Very good passer. Surprisingly solid finisher around the basket.

He’s small at the defensive end and still is a below average shooter though. He’s a very good backup on a team that wants to run. IF he improved his jumper, he’d never be out of a NBA job again.

Remembered when him and Teague were still at Wake Forest together along with Aminu and James Johnson. Fun to watch.

Noel’s stats were Insane w/ Ish Smith after the MCW trade last year & Noel’s #’s have Plummeted this year w/ these awful guards they have…. I’m Not saying he’s a great player – but he’s an unselfish PG who understands how to get big men the ball at the spots they like…….

As a Sixer fan, I didn’t understand why we didn’t resign him last year. He was terrific for us.

I don’t buy the age thing because he was only 27 and he wouldn’t have cost a lot of money. Granted, TJ McConnell has been great, but Ish would really be helping us today.

100% w/ that…. But honestly, that’s not saying much…. Canaan is so bad in so many ways…. & T.J. def gets the ball moving but just like Canaan, T.J. has killed them at the Defensive end…. b/c he’s small & slow…. And at the Offensive end he’s not able to penetrate at All…..

So what happens is teams just let the Sixers work the ball around the outside & all 5 sag in towards Okafor…. So the Sixers have Wide Open 3 point shots but can’t hit Any of them…. & when they do try to get it into Okafor they have to work So hard just to get it to him…. & then once he gets the ball, he is 18 feet from the cup….

To his credit, Okafor has an endless array of post moves…. so he gets to the rim… It’s actually quite remarkable to watch…. but the man Never gets an easy lay or ally oop dunk….. B/c the guards (T.J., Canaan, Stauskus) just can’t beat Anyone off the dribble…. It’s one of the most stagnant offenses in the NBA……

Ish was not a good shooter either….. but he could penetrate & he had better natural PG instincts…..

He’s been playing excellent, I watched him in person a few times early last year when Westbrook was down and so was half the OKC team. He did good in the increased playing time. Didn’t watch him much after he was on the Sixers though.

He’s also been a very nice hidden gem in fantasy this year, picked him up several weeks ago and he’s doing work. Also picked up McConnell early on. I have Mike Conley, Kyle Lowry, T.J. McConnell & Ish Smith as my point guards.
