I would like to propose a little game. The rules are simple:

    • Pick your favorite team and write down in what draft range you think this team will choose
    • Choose your favorite prospect you think will fall in that range and give a reason why you would choose him
    • Let’s keep Ben Simmons out of this game because i know any team that could draft him would not hesitate
    • If your team have more picks (for example boston and the nets pick) feel free to write down all the possible options

    I will go first.

    My Team: Boston Celtics

    Picks:

    •  1-5 (Nets) Labissiere: a big man with range. Far from being NBA ready but i think that he would be a great fit in Brad Stevens system
    •  12-16 (Mavs) Jakob Poetl: I don’t know if he would climb up the board but if he stays in this range he could be the rim protector Boston need
    •  12-16 (Celtics) Caris Levert: a prospect who can contribute from day 1. I see him as a great backup for Boston’s backcourt.

Why would you take 2 bigs when you already have a glut of them in Boston?

You have to take into account that David Lee is on an expiring contract and Amir Johnson has a Team Option. I don’t see them in the team the next season

Also, with Philly’s 31st pick, I’d like to see Denzel Valentine picked.

     Jazz:

    14 – 18

Kris Dunn maybe, this mock draft has him falling. I’d like to see him in a Jazz uni. Since the Jazz need some good PG help. Also, maybe Malik Newman or Buddy Hield. The Jazz need some 1’s or combo guards.

Does that mean you don’t see Exum as the future at PG?

Exum is a combo guard.  Plus, he’s 6’6" so he could probably slide over to the 2.

Yeah I know he can slide over to the 2.  I was just curious because he mentioned the Jazz need "some good PG help".  It just made me wonder if he’s not sold on Exum as a PG after his first year(and him missing this year with the ACL).  He looked good running the point in summer league before he sprained his ankle.

No, I think the Jazz need a good back up. Because what if Exum goes down again. Exum is the guy I want to see be like, the future of the Jazz. But our PG play has been ridiculous. Burke started out nice, but he’s cooled down since. We need a back up PG that can take over the starting position well. And when Exum gets back, he can be part of our GREAT second unit. We just need an upgrade over Raul Neto and Trey Burke, and I think Dunn could do that.

Like trelos said though, I don’t think he’ll drop that low. But it is possible and if it does happen. The Jazz should jump on him.

I think Dunn goes top 10.  He’ll have a great season and establish himself as a top candidate.

He can run an offesne and plays good D.

You took my Celtics, so I’ll do Sixers.

Pick 1-4: Labissiere (because they need another PF/C)

Pick 4-6 (from LAL): Dragan Bender (draft and stash candidate)

Pick 18-22 (from Heat): Zhou Qi (another draft and stash C)

Pick 22-26 (from Thunder): Stephen Zimmerman (they need more big men).

    Ok, seriously this time.

Pick 1-4: Jamal Murray (the PG to run their offense)

Pick 4-6: Brandon Ingram (silky smooth wing who will hopefully develop)

Pick 18-22: Buddy Hield/Grayson Allen (scoring SG)

Pick 22-26: Isaiah Briscoe (backup PG, knows how to play with Murray)
