joe2324ParticipantCan we agree that the Bucks badly miss Brandon Knight? Michael Carter Williams has been awful and a turnover machine.

festar35ParticipantThey miss his ability to stretch the floor the most. Middleton is really the only guy in the starting line-up who can continually shoot the 3-ball.
Mayo and Bayless are not consistent enough to be in the starting line-up.0- Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2015 - 4:28am #1026363
NBAjunkie81Participantare 10 games under .500 since acquiring MCW….. He averages a full turnover a game more than Knight…. & believe it or not MCW’s FG% has actually gone Up from 39.6% to 43.0% since the trade………… & that 43% FG% is basically identical w/ Knight’s FG% ……… But MCW’s 3pt FG% which was Only 26.1% in Phila has plummeted to 20.9% in Milwuakee….. so Festar35’s point is right on the money…..
& although MCW is a good "Help" defender b/c of his length….. He is a really poor "on ball" defender…. The top PG’s are tearing him apart…. the Bucks gave up a Lottery pick for him!?!?! …… Phila got killed for this trade, but it’s looking like they were the smart decision makers here & maybe Milwaukee panicked a bit….Does anyone know why they did not try to sign Knight long term???

Numbers_CruncherParticipantMCW was locked into a rookie deal for atleast 2 more years, while Knight was a RFA. With the savings they did sign Greg Monroe. Of course, they could have signed both, but for such a young team I don’t think they wanted to be in luxury tax territory.

DondiJohnParticipantMCW has already peaked. Though he’s relatively young i dont see that oozing potential.
They should get Ray Allen back as a shooting coach. LOL

blackflash234ParticipantIt’s a shame what injuries have done to his career. Labrum surgeries are serious. It’s the kiss of death in baseball as guys are never the same. In his case, you hope he turns it around and finds himself again. That trade isn’t lookinh good so far.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI don’t think hes been much worse than what he was in Philly- hes just not getting the amount of shots he got there. Its not the injuries that have made him bad, hes just a below average player who put up big stats on a bad team

NJHooper95ParticipantNets trade for pierce and Garnett. They were aging, over the hill stars and the nets surrender a surplus of first rounds picks. Boston owns nets unprotected 2016 pick which is currently the number 2 in this years draft and unprotected 2018 which will more than likely be a top 7 pick also, not to mention other picks where teams can swap with them. They cannot rebuild their team through the draft for having surrending 5 yrs of picks for guys that had a one or two year run in them. Terrible trade

BleedGreen808ParticipantDon’t forget Boston also has the right to swap 1st round picks with Brooklyn in 2017 as well. If they can’t get in a top free agent they may be giving up 3 lottery picks from 2016-18.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantThat nets trade was awful but imo worst trade of all time was Milwaukee swapping Dirk nowitski straight up for tractor traylor in the 98 draft. Imagine how that could have altered the entire NBA landscape had that deal not gone down.

tuck243Participantnever had intentions on picking Kobe. They were gonna draft a big, that’s why they traded Kobe for Divac. The deal was already done before picking Kobe. The Lakers jumped in front of the Nets to take Kobe and the Nets were left with Kerry Kittles.

ExumInfernoParticipantNot really right, but sort of. Kittles, pick 8 by Nets. Bryant, pick 13 by Hornets.
From a few stories, Nets thought about Bryant but were told he didn’t want to be there. Nets played it safe and took Kittles to be their shooting guard.
Hornets, and others, were probably told Bryant didn’t want to play for them too. They were happy with a star center, for a draft pick.
So Nets wanted Bryant, but were scared away. Lakers didn’t jump over them in a trade, but did get their way and keep Bryant away from them.

SkalAndJamalParticipantWhere would you guys rank Brandon Knight in his position. And do you consider him a PG or SG? The offense Phoenix runs is a dual threat PG offense, but Bledsoe is definitley more of the PG between them.

thetruth87ParticipantNot saying this is the worst trade of all time, but it’s up there….
Knicks get:
Eddy Curry
Bulls get:
2006 (unprotected) 1st round pick- Lamarcus Aldridge
Right to swap 2007 1st round picks- Joakim Noah
2007 and 2009 2nd round picks
Curry never panned out for the Knicks, while they missed out on two very solid building blocks in Aldridge and Noah. God I hate Isiah Thomas……
