markfitz14ParticipantBreaking reports is reporting that Boogie Cousins cursed out Coach Karl in front of team mates. It’s obvious they might fire Karl. Now is the chance for the Celtics to make a huge offer of picks so Sac can think about a rebuild.
Nets first rounder which will be top 5 in a good draft. Plus Mavs and Celtics pick for this draft. Plus Nets pick in next year’s. Add Lee’s expiring contract To make money match up.
That would be a good fresh start for Sac. Plus Sac would be in the lottery this year too.

BleedGreen808ParticipantI’d really love to hang on to the Brooklyn pick if possible. But unfortunately with how bad Brooklyn has been Sac will demand the pick in a trade for Cousins.

I am an idiotParticipantI would trade one of the Brooklyn picks but not both.
If Ainge thinks that Simmons has any shot to be in the LeBron range, I wouldn’t trade the pick without it being protected for #1.
I saw a quote from Ainge where he said that every GM is looking for the next "transcendant" player. Considering how few and far between these players are and that they almost never come on the trade or free agent market, I don’t think you pass up the chance to nab one. Cousins is good, but not transcendant.
The Kings can have a half dozen of our other players or picks; their choice. Lord knows the bench is too damn crowded as it is.

BleedGreen808ParticipantExactly so I think Ainge would sit back for now. See if things get worse in Sac while also seeing how top prospects like Simmons and Scal look in actual college games. Apparently Karl wanted to suspend Cousins after he was cursed out.

Meditated StatesParticipantCousins is a cancer to any team he is on for his whole career, mark my words.

NBAjunkie81Participantyou believe your "thrown together" team will be a playoff team…. Phila got Stauskus, pick swaps in Both 2016 & 2017 & a 2018 1st round pick from Sacramento for NOTHING…… This team is spiraling & could end up having 2 or 3 consecutive Sub 25 win seasons & NO Top Lottery picks to show for it….

r377ParticipantWe knew it was just a matter of time – Cousins, Karl and Rondo all together it was just a matter of time when the fireworks would be begin.
Why do the Kings still hold onto hope that he will mature – they need to trade him before his trade value drops even more or he gets injured…..

HitsterParticipantThe Celtics won’t rush into a trade, Danny Ainge is likely to wait to see what the draft picks due to them bring next summer and then perhaps pull a move or two.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantCousins is a joke… take away the stats and all you have is whiny baby with a losing record.
The day they send Cousins packing is the day the Kings take a huge step forward towards becoming a winning franchise no matter what they receive in return. Wesley Johnson was still a better pick for the Wolves than Cousins. At least Johnson is off the team and not causing problems like Cousins would be had the Wolves drafted him.

Jr. ROXASParticipantKings management looking dumber than ever again. Last season was evidence of how a good coach is so important to a player like Cousins. Unlike now, Cousins with Malone didn’t pout everytime he missed a shot looked really tame.
Karl on the other hand… my god. I really thought it was time for Karl to hang it up after he got fired from Denver. He’s 70+ now and been through throat cancer. You can see the fire is just not there with George Karl right now. He seems like he deferes to his players, especially to Cousins. A younger Karl would have been great for this team but Karl now just seems like he’s coasting through the season.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantIf a player won’t show respect to a Head Coach like George Karl that player is clearly the problem
He only behaved with Malone because that guy was a push over, I believe Cousins is a great talent with a terrible attitude and he needs to be traded to a bottom feeder franchise and forced to mature, maybe he can turn his image around Ala Zach Randolph in the early days of Portland/Memphis…
I still think he has a bright future if he can turn around his Moody melodramatic behavior

HitsterParticipantGeorge Karl is 64 years old and had fully recovered from cancer he had during his time at Denver.
DMC may think he is bigger than the team but he still should respect his Head Coach especially when it is someone of the standing of George Karl. One of only 9 guys to have coached over 1,000 career wins in the NBA.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantGeorge Karl wasn’t the problem. It is the other cancer that has consumed the Kings locker room. Karl doesn’t need to coach a bunch like that at this point in his life.

EndlessknightParticipantAs a Sixers fan this whole situation warms my heart. Kings will def. miss the playoff thus we get to add their lottery balls to ours. That trade is looking better and better. I can’t believe anyone thought Karl and Cousins would work.
