I’ll preface this with the proverbial "I know it is early, but"

Charles Barkely has been giving the Hawks a lot of grief early on this season but this team looks legit even after losing DC to the Raptors.

Kent Bazemore has been unbelieveable since opening night and I think Justin Holiday is going to become a 10-12 minute per night contributor.

Eastern Conference Finals back to back seasons?

Its too easy to mess with the Hawks psychologically in the playoffs. Al Horford is a prime example. The peoples elbow that cost his team a spot in the finals.

All the NBA wants is a team that can take the Cavs to 6 or 7 to milk a few more ratings off Lebron’s back.

Better pick up Kent Bazemore in your fantasy teams. He been playing well and is getting starter minutes which is important in fantasy leagues.

I think most know I’m a hawks fan #ATL4LIFE but I think this post is a bit wishful thinking.

I just don’t see us being a better team with Bazemore as a starter. He has played well, but I can’t imagine that team doing anymore in the conference finals than what happened last year…a sweep.

Getting Splitter was a good pick up, as well as Hardaway, but not enough. I look at what other teams have done this off season and the improvements they’ve made and I believe the Hawks were still too stagnant. We needed a big time wing and we didn’t go get it.

Cleveland, Miami, Toronto, and Orlando all look like better teams at this point.

together b/c Al Horford was hurt most of 2013/14′ – I like the Hawks A LOT – especially now that no one will be paying attention to them b/c they fell apart in last season’s playoffs…. But to me that was just a team getting their first REAL playoff experience against a championship level opponent….. Atlanta is deep & now they have experience as a unit…. I would not be one bit surprised to see Atlanta playing Cleveland in the Eastern Conference Finals…
