It’s official, Harry Giles joins Jayson Tatum, Frank Jackson, and Javn D-however you spell his last name lol. Happy for this kid to join the squad. I know he tore acl earlier this week but I’m not really worried. He’s athletic but his game isn’t just predicated on athleticism. He also rehabbed from a far worse knee injury to reclaim his title as the #1 recruit in the nation so there is something to be optimistic about. Coach K is KILLING on the recruiting trail!

As a Duke fan I am ecstatic with the potential of this recruting class and the 2017 team as a whole. Hope Harry has a speedy recovery and can return to form. This team will be scary good. I believe that Grayson Allen will stay and the only early departure will come from Brandon Ingram. Potential starting line up: 1: Derryck Thorton 2: Grayson Allen 3: Jayson Tatum 4: Harry Giles 5: Chase Jeter. With Frank Jackson and Luke Kennard off the bench!? Cant wait to see those guys in action!

What a time to be a Dukie! I’m excited for this year but I also share your enthusiasm about next year. That could go down as an all time great Duke team, (in my very earlier opinion). However, as a fellow Dukie I’m surprised to see you not mention Matt Jones at all for next year. I honestly hope Grayson has a good enough year to get drafted so that Matt can get prime minutes next year. He will be a senior with great experience and also our best on ball defender, by far. If he stays that log jam for minutes at the 2 guard will be ridiculous. Matt, Grayson, AND Luke. Sheeeeesh.

  I dont know how I forgot to mention Matt Jones! He is our best perimeter defender and is a great 3 and D player. Team is looking stacked! What have you heard about Sean Obi? I know he averaged a double double at Rice his freshman year but do you think his game will translate well enough to get some burn in the brutal ACC?

is trash lol. Ok, a little harsh but hes not as good as everyone thinks he is. He’s behind Plums, Amile, and Jeter in the big man rotation currently. He’s unathletic, doesn’t get up and down the court very quickly, and his offensive game isn’t much to speak of. Also, I heard rumblings of a slight attitude problem from him but idk. I’d be surprised if he averaged more than like 6 or 7 minutes a game, although I do see his big body being useful to guard other big bigs (ie, Kennedy Meeks). Rebounder, screen setter, big body to bang with other big bodies..that’s all he is at this point.
