tyler hansboro playing pretty good defense 2 steals and 4 or 6 points right now
chris douglas roberts- looks bad for a second year player..missing shots and is just out there
roy hibbert- simple put hes looks bad…defense looks bad and getting his shots blocked..4 by my count
maruice speights- dominating which doesnt suprise me..was real good last summer..i think he has 20-22pts and a couple boards
aj price looks ok..not to good not too bad

Stanford hoopsParticipantovertime….tyler looks nice..17pts not sure how many reb..but once again hes out working players and playing very good defense..donte christmas was trying to check and score on him but tyler wasnt having it…jrus looking better as a scorer…only summer leauge but so far looking like a combo ala delonte west…definatly not looking like a pg by any stretch of the imagination

IndianaBasketballParticipantLol yea these dudes are pretty funny. Someone sent an e-mail asking, “Can they cut Will Blaylock now?” LOL. I thought Rush looked good from what I saw. Hanbrough looked pretty good too. Speights looked like he’s ready to play big minutes this season.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 10:54am #177176
Stanford hoopsParticipantwhy would they get fired..they were told to basically say what they want but dont curse basically…thats basically how the announcing world is going these days because of the success of barkley..people dont wanna hear……”so and so dribbles up court..passes….misss…now hes playing defense”..the whole game..i know i dont wanna hear that..thats what makes the rucker games more excitings, other then the players,

rush did pretty well
dougless roberst stepped it up in the second half..
jru looked like a combo guard..scvored pretty well .defended pretty well but didnt really show good pg skills
terrence williams played hard but didnt do whole lot.so he didnt hurt is self and helped his self just a tad bit
aj price was decent at best

J-CHRISTOSParticipantWith all the stuff you had said, you had me nervous about Serge, but he’s playing pretty well, and Livingston’s knee does look good
0
- Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 12:17pm #177250

IndianaBasketballParticipantI wouldn’t say it’s “safe to say his knee is ready” just yet… If it was, he wouldn’t be wearing a knee brace the size of a suitcase.
I’m still not convinced Westbrook is a pg.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 12:21pm #177252
Stanford hoopsParticipanttezo83 have you ever played basketball? and had a injury?….you still wear a knee brace just in case or you feel comfortable with it..same with rip hamilton and face mask..if you were never a ball player with a injury then i can understand you not knowing that

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’ve played more ball in one month than you have in your whole life. 4 year starter in high school & 3 year starter in college. I actually seriously sprained my acl/mcl in college. I wore a knee brace & then sleeve until it was completely healthy & I finished my rehab. After that though, there was no point in wearing it. It’s not like you have 100% mobility w/ it on. My point is, if he’s still wearing all that luggage, it’s not safe to say he’s knee is completely ready to go. I mean, I can understand always wearing ankle tape/ankle braces for pre-caution, but a huge knee brace?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 12:50pm #177268
Stanford hoopsParticipanthummm interesting..well i played 3 years highschool..got in trouble so missed a year in hs…played juco then then charlston southern..ive played in venezula, turkey, greece, andfindland this past year..next year im playing in holland…you can check my resume if you like..kurtis rice….so i seriously doubt that you have played more in a month then i have played my whole career (ive also torn my acl a year and a half ago..i need surgery on my shoulder)…unless you played nonstop for awhole month….so youre name would be what exactly so i can check out youre resume…usually i dont talk about my self but when some guy who thinks hes better then me runs his mouth i tend to react

Stanford hoopsParticipanti think westbrook finished with 12-14
sebaka 10-13
harden 10-14
…but i could be wrong..i didnt fully watch the whole game….tezo83 or should i call you mr basketball..still waiting on that basketball resume buddy…….jakarii33…it was luck and i was picked by a 6’7 240 dude he should have been able to cross me..if you see him again ask him why he moved out the way when i went down the lane for a dunk…hmmmmmmmmmmmmm0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:08pm #177288

IndianaBasketballParticipantHa ha… I find it hard to believe that you play overseas considering you’ve had time to write 1208 posts. I also find it hard believing that you’ve even attended college considering your grammar & sentence structure. Learn the difference between “your” & “you’re”. I’d say you’re probably a middle schooler or early high schooler.
I’ll take your word for it though. I don’t think I’m better than you nor am I “running my mouth”. Calm down bro! I just think that if Livingston’s knee was completely ready to go, he wouldn’t be wearing that much luggage. A sleeve maybe…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:20pm #177294
Stanford hoopsParticipantwell for one my season ended months ago..for 2 im really not concerned about spelling on here since im not being tested on it and its not a job and im typing fast..reguardless what you believe i would think you would be the youngin considering the name calling..please dont get mad because youre career didnt go past college and youre obviously not better than me…ive actually met some people who are on here who can back up who i am..i still havent seen any proof that you even played basketball…now since you seem to really like picking apart my grammar lets go back and make sure youre grammar is correct in all youre post shall we…while im doing that can you please show the proof that you even played basketball????

Stanford hoopsParticipantMy Mock Draft (as of 05/25/09)
The Pacers needs are power forward & point guard…..pacers need..no s
If they’re able to re-sign both, they MAYBE I could see them drafting a two guard. …then not they
there are more that i dont need to put up becaus ei made my point which is..no one on here is perfect..i see soooo many people misspell or forget a comma or use a word incorrectly, and i do to ..do they care no do i care no..do i tell them..hey you write like youre in middle school…no because what exactly does that accomplish..i didnt come on here to tell people im better or as you say ( played more in a month then youre whole career) i came to give my opnion and share my knowledge of the game and get in basketball disscussions and disagreements to help past the time..personally i feel its low to call out people on a site like this for grammar errors or claim to be better then someone who you know nothing about..actually i think ill make that a topic so thanks in that reguards
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:33pm #177297

sheltwon3ParticipantDang why all the hate and yall arguing over nothing. Tez does have a point about the brace if it is as big as you say and you Kurtis have a point with saying if you have a acl injury like that you will tend to be cautious with it because that kind of injury takes a while for you to not need a brace and with Livingston being so skinny it make be a good thing for him to keep it on for a while because if he bangs that area again, his knee can swell. I have not played ball as much as yall did but I have injuried my knee quite a few times and you do tend to wear a brace for awhile unless you just stop playing for the most part for a few years and your body fully heals but my injury was not a ACL so I don’t know. Yall need to be easy and enjoy the basketball no need for ego clashing.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:35pm #177298

gatorheelsParticipantIt really just depends on the individual. Some players heal quicker than others. Some people may need to wear a brace for years while others wear it for a month. Haha that was funny though yall arguing over who has player ball longer. Its all good. Grammar isnt a huge concern on this forum IMO.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:37pm #177301

gatorheelsParticipantYall gotta keep me updated on these summer league games. I have a MAC so I cant watch the games live. Looking at the box scores only tells me so much.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:39pm #177303

sheltwon3ParticipantGet back to talking about summer league, I learned a lot listening to yall. I have not been watching it. I can’t wait to Evans , Curry, and Randolph play in their summer league. Glad to see Harden play some well. Westbrook is not a point right now but he will learn and also Harden is a better passer than people will acknowledge. The site i was on trying to watch the summer league i could not tell who was who it was too far back. The camera sucked.

0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:43pm #177307

sheltwon3ParticipantKurtis you questioned his knowledge too so it was yall having a pissing contest. I don’t know none of yall personally but I have never known tez to start stuff so i wanted to keep this easy and I happen to know that you josh or Kurtis dont be causing issues either so let’s be easy. Why is your screen name Josh Huestis though lol.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:43pm #177308

gatorheelsParticipantMacs are cool…I like mine but for some reason I think you have to have windows media player to watch the games live
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:44pm #177309

sheltwon3ParticipantOh okay and since when did p issing mean a bad word lol
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:50pm #177315
Stanford hoopsParticipanteric maynor is player well….i picked this name because its my younger cousins name who plays football and when i first came up here i came to basically pump him up….like how some peoples name on here is rubio..knicks….clippers…and a couple off the wall names
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:58pm #177320

IndianaBasketballParticipantHa ha… What started this was me basically saying that I didn’t think Livingston’s knee was 100% ready to go. “Kurtis” then got sensitive & questioned if I’d ever played basketball lol. I’ve played a lot of competitive ball. I don’t need to brag though bro. Those days are behind me. My job is in a suit & tie now… Behind a desk lol.
IMO, he wouldn’t be wearing that heavy brace AND sleeve if his knee was 100% ready to go. I mean, I wore a sleeve for a couple weeks even after my knee was 100% just in case, but it was light weight. Livingston looks A LOT better, but I still don’t think he’s 100%. That was a terrible injury… Many people thought his career was over. When his knee is 100%, I think we’ll see a lighter brace or just a sleeve.
As far as the grammar goes… I was honestly just joking. I didn’t think he’d take it that seriously. I apologize if it hurt you “Kurtis”.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 1:59pm #177324
adjose5ParticipantHowd they look? I saw the stats but my guy said they looked REAL impressive and David Thropes twitters said the same thing. I have a MAC also n couldnt watch it, got me hella pissed. BTW, Kurtis I looked you up and you’re legit, straight killing, 16.6 points and 6.0 rebounds, I might have to connect with you because I’m tryna help some of my guys get overseas too but anyways can yall let me know how Livingston and Harden looked?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 2:01pm #177328

GoJOSH HUESTISParticipantman the jazz look pretty bad…actually thats a understatement
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 2:03pm #177329

gatorheelsParticipantLivingston had 7 points 6 asst & 0 turnovers…that is pretty solid. Glad he is back.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 2:05pm #177330
Stanford hoopsParticipantboth players looked pretty good..as far as making it overseas you have to go to the camps..the biggest is the esl camp,.this year its in vegas newyork chicago and cali i think..also have to get a agent because they have connections..get a game tape as well as a highlight tape ….make it a tape of youre best game though…and thats pretty much it
0 - Posted on: Mon, 07/06/2009 - 2:13pm #177336
adjose5Participantthanks for that. yea I helped get my friend to Portgual last year. I did alot of stuff thru Eurobasket, got the tapes and all that so I’m always looking for other ways to help them out, its appreciated. but yea keep me posted on how JR Giddens, Coby Karl and Robert Swift look
