Arc12345ParticipantSo I was pretty neutral about him like I am about most players in the draft. Very rarely do I get overly excited, because at the end of the day you really never know how someone will look in the league or adjust.
That being said, SO MANY people called this kid a bust. Said there was no way he could play in the league. No way he could contribute THIS year, when in fact, only after a few games it’s already clear he will be a big contributor for the Knicks.
I want everyone who doubted and hated on this kid to go ahead and admit they were wrong. I am not even a fan, but it was ridiculous to see the animosity this guy recieved. I’ll wait…

T RexThey’ll just claim there was no way of knowing, and Okafor and Russell were still clearly better talents than him. Not to mention Winslow, WCS, Mudiay, and whoever else throws a cool side-spin pass.

Arc12345ParticipantWhat has your opinion been T-Rex? Had he gone to the Celtics I’m sure you’d call him the next Dirk/AD but since he went to the Knicks you probably labeled him average.

T RexYou’re probably playing ignorant so you can pretend you’re not on my Porzingis bandwagon, sitting b!tch.

Arc12345ParticipantThat’s annoying. HOF expectations before he even plays a regular season game. I don’t like people hating, but I also don’t like people making predictions like that either…after a 7 point game
You continue to annoy me.

T RexPipe down in the back seat.
If everybody was the best draft evaluator, "best" would lose all meaning.

NBAjunkie81Participantreport on the Draft between the Ping Pong ball ceremony & the actual Draft…. They pick & choose what strengths & weaknesses to focus on just to get fans wound up so they will watch & increase ratings…
Real scouts, talent evaluators & even fans knew about Porzingus & Hezonja since at Least this time last year… I read about Porzingus Before the 2014 Draft b.c just like Saric in 2013, he was thinking about entering a year earlier than he did…
& from Everything I read & saw – No ONE said Porzingus would be a bust… These Top players are scouted as young as 8th grade so there should never be any surprises on Draft night & there Never is as far as the Talent…

BogDon_KryptParticipantPorzingISNT is the biggest bust since Travis Best. Guy barely gets any steals or triple doubles

tuck243ParticipantRarely you see European players at his age that I don’t clarify as "soft". Let me rephrase that, European big men that can shoot. I didn’t like the pick up and honestly the averages on him being a bust was higher than him actually amounting to anything. I have turned around and although his numbers aren’t great yet, his activity is what makes me believe he will do well… The fact that he’s not scared to get dunked on or play physical is what I love about him. I damn sure wasn’t expecting that… He’s still raw and have a long way to go, but he’s gonna have at least a 10-15 year career barring any injuries.
Let’s not talk about Russell anymore though. The fact I was completely wrong on him is killing me. I just didn’t know that kid was that damn slow. If I would’ve known that I wouldn’t have pushed for him to get selected in the Top 5.

HitsterParticipantPorzingis is looking a very promising player so far, I was always a fan of his but could see why people could say he had bust potential.
I didn’t like the Knicks fans booing when he was chosen, If they had taken a flyer on Hezonja it was another European guy. WCS would have given them a rim protector but 4 would have been a bit of a reach for him so the only other guy in the mix might have been Mudiay IMO.

Rip256Knicks fans are wrong on draft day more than any other fambase.
They Boo good players, and cheer loudly for dudes with big names in college.
Basically, if they cheer your arrival, it will probably work out as well as Amare Stoudamire.
