it has me beat why guys like Cousins and Anthony Davis are deciding to show everyone that their range goes out to the 3 point line. I get that if they make a few it changes the defensive strategy against them but I’m a believer that they should be working more on post moves and finding guys outside once double teamed, it’s worked for plenty of years before! Stay in the middle big boys!!

This guy is stuck in the past.

Keep the paint open and you might just score 132 pts like the Warriors.

    Julio, go get the stretch.

The NBA – like all sports are cyclical – small ball has emerged b/c we are in a phase of Great guards but we will see big men dominate again… Great teams play to their strengths – they don’t decide to follow a trend & then attempt to force their players to change… They put the talent they have in the best position to succeed… Only fools are rigid…..

hey I think it is a different element to there game they are developing. Neither one of these guys are in there primes. They still have time to gain a post game. But with all the pick and roll play in the league. A perimeter shot is more valuable to learn. Its all 3 ball or dive for the bigs in pick and roll. Or Iso and spread from the best driver..

Also coming out of high school AD/Boogie were Both PF’s.

No body says he Durant, Dirk etc. shouldn’t shot 3’s. But of these are (untraditional) Big sized players

Bigs need to shoot threes. Stop that traditionnalist nonsense already. Guys like Mirotic and Olynyk have terrific +/- numbers just because of their ability to take a big out of the paint. I mean it’s simple maths,33.3%from three = 50% from two. And for the post play fanatics,it’s just not a efficient way to score at all.

that is a Terrible FG% for a man 6’10” – b/c he doesn’t want to be in the paint he doesn’t rebound much at all… Inthe playoffs when Gasol went down w/ injury Mirotic was invisible…

It’s not "Traditional Thinking" when Every year in the playoffs, officials pocket their whistles & the game becomes a Half Court grind where buckets are at a Premium & FG% is Directly proprtional to distance from the rim – menaing the closer you get to the rim, the FG% increases…

I LUV 3 pointers! & I luv how it has changed the game & stretched defenses but I don’t want my "Bigs" shooting them b/c when it really matters that isn’t what is going to win a big playoff game… Unless it’s Kevin Durant who can stroke from Anywhere but Mirotic aint no K.D.

Actually Mitotic made 49% of his 2-pointers and 32% of his 3-pointers last year. The fact is 50% of his shots were from 3-point range resulting in a 40% fg percentage. The idea being it is that Mitotic will increase his three point efficiency this year which he has. In the first three games this year he is averaging 20ppg, 8rpg, 3-3pt, with 50%fg, 50%3pt and 90%ft in 31-mpg.

He is also ranked third on ESPN’S player rater. Take that with a grain of salt because it also has Westbrook ranked 11th and Derozan isn’t even in the top 100. It overrates efficiency and underrates volume and overall productivity. Either way its a testimate to how well he is playing currently ranked only below Curry and Wall.
