We don’t have an answer for him. Maybe Amir Johnson

    Good lord Philly is bad.

Okafor could put up monster numbers if he actually had a good perimeter around him where teams couldn’t just double team him every time he touches the ball.

The only hope for him is to just wait for another top 3 pick next year.

It doesn’t help that only 9 guys are playing and four of their best players are injured. Robert Covington especially could help with scoring and limiting double teams and hopefully Stauskas will be good once he’s healthy.

26 points and 7 rebounds…not bad for Jahlil’s first regular season NBA action…His free throw shooting was good. D was solid. He made some rookie mistakes but on the whole super excited to see what he can do moving forward.

w/ Marshall, WQroten & Stauskus hurt Phila does not have a legit NBA player at either guard – Canaan & McConnel are Tunr Over machines – 24 T.O.’s led to 35 easy Boston points in transition… But in the 1/2 court set – which is what the Playoffs become – Okafor & Noel utterly Dominated at Both ends….

Okafor is going to be unstoppable & Noel is just a freak & it’s scary to think that Embiid is bigger & supposedly better than both… When the Sixers get some real NBA players around these 7 footers, they are going to just Gut teams…

Okafor & Noel are SO much better than the Media gives them credit for – combined the two had 40 points, 19 rebounds & 4 blocks (2 each)… WOW! I would not trade those 2 for Boston’s Entire roster…. I am officialy jealous of what Phila has going on over there…

I still can’t believe the Lakers and Kings passed on those two for the players they did.

Did you watch that Rockets game? Mudiay didn’t play terribly, but he didn’t play well either. A couple of airballs, a TON of to’s, dribbled into traffic with no plan… The Rockets looked awful. I mean McHale mot not have a job in two months bad. That was why Mudiay didn’t look downright lost. I actually think he’ll struggle this year, but time will tell.

I saw some of the game. Mudiay looked confident shooting the ball and explosive off the dribble. He made some rookie mistakes but I would expect that. Overall, I’d say it was a pretty impressive performance considering it was his first NBA game.

See, I thought he looked pretty average off the dribble. The Rockets playing the worst D ever helped him. Also, Lawson absolutely destroyed him off the dribble every time they went man up, which was only 3 times if I remember right. I can’t overstate how bad Houston played, and Mudiay still had 11 [ELEVEN] turnovers and a couple of airballs. When he plays a team that doesn’t have their heads up their collective a$$e$, he’s gonna really struggle. Scoring 17 in garbage time against a team that mailed it in isn’t impressive.

I said before the draft that, like DRussell, Mudiay was going to get destroyed trying to defend point guards. I don’t know who else they have on their team, but they were pretty much forced to start Gary Harris next to him until they get a better point guard sized shooting guard who can defend starting nba point guards.

            We’re not in China anymore.

My only problem with Mudiay and Okafor were turnovers. Mudiay had 11 and Okafor had 8, but it’s their first NBA game they will grow.

but he’ll get better… .Okafor’s turn overs were not bad plays, they were the result of playing w/ teammates that don’t belong anywhere near an NBA court… Boston made some nice 2nd quarter adjustments forcing Phila’s terrible guards to play & they just couldn’t do anything… Okafor would come way out to help them out & they would toss him the ball in a panic 20 feet from the cup w/ 5 seconds on the shot clock… Stauskus was a late scratch so I think he’ll be back soon, but Phila really needs Wroten & Marshall in that line up…

I like Mudiay’s raw ability, defense & size a lot more than Russell… but the guards in the west are so good & he really doesn;t have much help out there in Denver… I agree w/ some of the other guys posting… w/ Rookies you can’t focus on their mistakes, you have to watch for those glimpses of greatness that are just uncommon with young players & the Lakers were crazy to pass on Okafor & even though I like WCS – he could possibly be another Nerlens Noel – but if Mudiay had Boogie Cousins to pass the ball to, w/ his size & 1st step, Sacramento would really have something special – basically Two guys who command a double team…

Youd think after Mudiays 10th turnover he’d start protecting the ball a bit better.

I dont care if its 1st game or not…1 turnovers is unacceptable.

He plays with great pace and have a quick first step (it’s not elite), but he just need to get a tighter handle and his turnovers will decrease.   It’s not like they were plays he was trying to do too much with the ball..   He’s just not a great bal handler yet..
