TarHeelRavenParticipantIt seems like maybe Willie Cauley Stein enjoyed his summer before his first NBA training camp a bit too much instead of getting himself in tip top shape. I think I read he was recovering from an ankle injury but that’s still no excuse for what I read. it seems like WCS couldn’t get up and down the court more than twice without becoming winded and having to take himself out. I think myself along with many people were shocked that the Kings took him that high. He was an elite defender at the college level with a very minimal offensive game. Him reporting to camp out of shape doesn’t make him a bust by any stretch of the imagination but it’s definitely not a good look. If I was George Karl, I’d have him running on a treadmill at about a 10 to 11 setting for the Kings entire practice so he can get his wind and actually be conditioned like a real porfessional athlete getting paid millions should be. Not a good first impression WCS…

SandI think hes on record saying he doesnt actually like the non-playing side of basketball at all.
He likes playing games, but Coach Cal had to make heaps of special concessions for him to keep him motivated. This was regarding Academics, Training and Off Court activities.
This seems like a BAD pairing in Sacto. I see a lot of Larry Sanders in WCS.

GBeeParticipantBasketball isn’t even his first love. I think he’s just one of those guys who plays because he’s 7′ and because he can, not because he particularly enjoys it. That should’ve been enough to dissuade a team from taking him top 6. He has the potential to maybe become another Sam Dalembert but so what? If he pans out that just screams future inflated contract with little return on investment. I think "Trill" (smh) will be another miss in the lotto by the Kings. Lack of work ethic, little improvement over 3 years, lack of toughness, IQ, inept offensively with poor instincts and I even think his defensive potential is overrated due to his lack of intangibles. Kings are lucky they got a steal of a deal in Kosta Koufos for 4 years bc I foresee WCS being a scrub who’s more interested in the lifestyle than being a good NBA player.

NBAjunkie81Participantsupposedly is not his 1st love… He has an amazing skills packagle – really only Noel in Phila is like him – & really like the idea of WCS next to Cousins on the front line in Sac-town, so hopefully the rumors are exaggerated & he is 100% focused….

Chilbert arenasParticipantWCS will be known as a bust based off who was taken after him. Specifically Mudiay who was the obvious pick.

CynthiaParticipantSeems a bit blown out of proportion to me, can only run up and down the court twice before being winded? I’ve seen overweight and non-athletic people run a court more than twice with no problem at all. So either it’s completely overexaggerated or he has an injury hampering his ability to run for very long.

BasketBalAllanParticipantWow, people sure can infer a lot of information out of one quote where he was joking with a reporter about training camp.
No mention at all of his explosiveness during his 1st game? Or of the very next quote where he says he never wants to come back to a training camp unprepared again?
