sitlbitoParticipantSpain-Lithuania 1 pm eastern. Both teams won close games in the quarter-finals and semi finals, and both were underdogs,so it should be a close matchup between two experienced teams. I hope Lithuania will win .

geothermalParticipantWhy is Marc Gasol not playing for Spain?
Good Matchup at the Post, Valanciunas vs. Pau Gasol.
Gasol has an Edge because of his new Found Range, it will help spread the floor for Fernandez, Claver and Rodriguez drives to the Hoop,

sitlbitoParticipantFrance wins the bronze medal,82-68 against Serbia. De Colo led all scorers with 20,wouldn’t be surprised to see NBA teams try to lure him back to the NBA next offseason. I didn’t watch the game but Parker’s form is really worrisome. He shot 29/80 on 2 point shots,8/28 on 3 pts shots. He basically didn’t have a single good game in the entire tournament.

froggyParticipantHis entire game is based on speed… and he did not have it during the tournament. I hope it’s because of his leg injury and that he can recover !
He did not shoot well but more worrisome he was not able to defend, even against average players.
P.S : Rudy Gobert was crushed by Gasol during semi finals but he erased radjulica during 3rd place game. Still getting better over time

sitlbitoParticipantGobert wasn’t crushed by Gasol at all, considering France was a +11 in a game France lost by 5. So France was outscored by 16 when he wasn’t on the floor. That’s not what I call getting crushed. Gobert had insane +/- stats in this tournament.

GStatesince88ParticipantPau Gasol, the MVP, by a long shot. Easily the most dominant player in the tournament. He brought the finesse, skill, range, determination, leadership, and heart.
One may have thought, that missing Little Big Brother Gasol and Ibaka, could cause the interior play of Spain to experience fatigue or foul trouble. They were wrong.
Toronto fans better hope Valanciunas was taking notes.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantIt’s amazing but I always forget just how great Pau Gasol is – the guy is a great player…. Hall of Fame??? What do you guys think? That stretch at the end of the last decade when the Celtics Big Three clashed with Kobe, Gasol & Bynum was under appreciated – those were two great teams…
