StewParticipantWill John Wall finally average 20 and 10, and crack to the elite group in the nba. He’s already great player, just wanna get your thoughts?

BlazermannParticipantHe’s not that willing to take enough shots to do so I believe.
He really relishes in getting his team good shots And playing great defense

jalliParticipantWall is great already but I don’t believe he’ll ever be a 20ppg scorer at efficiency and a 10ast per guy. I think he’s at his ceiling.

NBAjunkie81ParticipantHe’s a great player & a Great Leader – I really think that Wizards team is going to hit it’s stride b/c Wall is an Eltie talent – I Luv their back court – I understand why they took Porter Jr in 2013 & he’s a really good young player but I would have rather seen them take Noel & even though it was risky, imagine how strong they would be defensively… anyway. I’m getting off track, lol…. I think Wall is a Stud & as some of these older Stars get deeper into their 30’s Wall is going to be even more of a force… Are the chances of Durant going to D.C. good? I know he is from there & I hear talk on the web that they have a shot – I believe that Wall & Durant would be an Amazing fit b/c Wall doesn;t care if he scores…. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

IlladelphParticipantYes, he could easily do it. He averaged 10 assists per game last year, and 17.6 ppg. If he can improve his shooting % a bit, I can totally see him getting 20/10 for the season. His career 3P% is unfortunately 30.5%. If he can bump that just a bit, he can hit 20/10. I still don’t think he has reached his ceiling yet, and with his passion and work ethic, I can easily see him getting 20/10 on the season.

JR RyderParticipantJohn Wall and the Wizards are a better team when he is looking to create for others. He simply isnt an efficient scorer, he hurts his team more when he is dominating all the shots rather than getting others involved. The last PG to average 20/10 was Chris Paul and he did it efficiently.

TarHeelRavenParticipantJohn Wall shouldn’t have to average 20 a game for the Wiz. He’s their distributor and best defender. Beal should be the one who averages 20. He’s the one who is best at putting the ball in the hole. I think Wall COULD average 20 if he wanted but the Wizards are best when he’s putting up gaudy assist numbers.

omphalosParticipantI don’t think 20ppg is too much to ask this season with Pierce gone.
I think it could also be fairly efficient if his squad stays healthy – having Beal miss lots of time puts a lot of pressure on Wall to create shots, he should be able to get better looks with Beal around to draw attention if he can stay healthy for the whole season.

kanuflengParticipantif theres one guy whos capable of ave 20 10 besides Paul, it’s Wall. Paul wont be doing it soon with the firepower in Clips. Back to Wall, hes capable but he wont do it this year. he ave 19.3 ppg but 8.8 ast in 2013-2014. i think he can ave 20 but not 10 ast or ave 10 ast but less than 20 ppg. with the lineup they have, and his style of play, he wont ave 20 anytime soon. but we never know, this might be the year!

Mr. HookShotParticipantI actually believe both Westbrook and Curry have a better chance of doing so. Westbrook had 28.1 ppg/8.6 apg without Durant, so with Durant the ppg will fall and the apg will probably rise. As for Curry, he had 24.0 ppg/8.5 apg, and his biggest issue last year was the passing. WIth Nash aboard to mentor him I can see him averaging more assists per game.

Andrew1984ParticipantAveraging 20 points and 10 assists for a full season would put him into extremely elite company.
In case you’re curious, I listed them in the below 2011 post in which I made some unpopular (and so far unsuccessful) predictions:

ZachAttackParticipantCouldn’t help but notice that Deron Williams averaged 20 and 10. But he didn’t. If I remember correct, he had around 21 ppg and 9.7 apg one season, and he also had like a 12 or 13 assist season in Brooklyn one year, but that year, he didn’t get 20 points. He also had a couple of 10+ assist seasons with Utah without 20 points.
I know he did it in the playoffs with Utah a couple times, but never throughout the regular season.

ZachAttackParticipantI just looked up the stats for confirmation of what I said, and I guess that D-Will did get a 20 and 10 season, the season he was traded to the Nets. He had more assists with the Nets but he scored more with the Jazz, so overall, it averaged out to 20 and 10

PulseGlazerParticipantJust what I was thinking, Andrew. 20-10 is extremely rare, especially in this era of lower minutes and more ball movement.
