6 more games to be played today,only teams from group B and C will be in action while teams from group A and D are resting after 3 games in 3 days.
Group B will be the main attraction today(kinda the group of death). The standings are the following:
Serbia 2-0
Spain 1-1
Italy 1-1
Germany 1-1
Turkey 1-1
Iceland 0-2
The schedule:Serbia-Iceland 8.30 am
Germany-Turkey 11.45 am
Spain-Italy 3 pm
Those last 2 games have huge implication,as one of these teams other than Iceland has to be eliminated as well.
In group C the standings are the following:
Greece 2-0
Croatia 1-1
Slovenia 1-1
Netherlands 1-1
Macedonia 1-1
Georgia 0-2.
Schedule for today:Slovenia-Netherlands 9 am
Georgia-Greece noon
Croatia-Macedonia 3 pm.
The 4 best teams of each group advance to the round of 16.

First 2 games are over.
Serbia took care of business,beat Iceland 93-64. Serbia is now 3-0,Iceland 0-3.
Slovenia won a crucial one against the Netherlands 81-74 thanks to some clutch plays from Zoran Dragic. Netherlands are now 1-2,Slovenia 2-1. That does likely mean elimination for the Netherlands as they still have to face Croatia and Greece.

Slovenia won a crucial one against the Netherlands 81-74 thanks to some clutch plays from Zoran Dragic. Netherlands are now 1-2,Slovenia 2-1. That does likely mean elimination for the Netherlands as they still have to face Croatia and Greece.

  It depends on what recognition. They’ve been called one of the favorites since the beginning,I feel like. It’s just that it doesn’t seem to surprise people that much. What’s really been impressive is their win against Spain,because they barely beat a not so good German team,and routed Iceland like they should have. By the way are you from Turkey? Just guessing from your username.

    No im actually serbian ethnicity living in canada. Both Canada and Serbia right now have very young and talented teams.
    As for Turkey, I like what i see on their team Cedi Osman is going to be a very very special player if he continues to grow skill wise.

Next two games are done. Impressive win by Turkey,even if Germany had a hopeless and way too late come-back,80-75. Don’t let the score fool you,the Turcs were up 31-11 after one quarter and never looked back. A little scare at the end when Germany came back within 7,but was quickly erased by some clutch and impressive plays by Cedi Osman,who’s incredibly mature for his age(20). Turkey is now 2-1,but more importantly still hasn’t played Iceland,whom they’ll beat. They won against their two likely opponents for the 3rd and 4th place(assuming Serbia and Spain finish 1 and 2),Italy and Germany. Germany is now 1-2 and their game against Italy tomorrow(11.45 am eastern) looks like a win or go home situation. Loser will be the odd team out.
In the other (meaningless) game,Greece took down Georgia 79-68,and same thing as the other game,Greece was leading by 30 at the beginning of the second half. Greece is now 3-0,Georgia 0-3,almost eliminated(maybe IS eliminated,should look at it)
