I think the obvious choice is the Trail Blazers. They lost 4 starters from last years team and are in the loaded Western Conference. Another team I think will not make it is Brooklyn. I dont think they have enough talent to compete in an inproving Eastern Conference. Any thoughts?

Brooklyn’s roster is attrocious. I can’t see them winning 30 games

Sounds crazy but I think Washington could be on that list. I think that they played their best last year and are going to miss Pierce contribution. Plus they have to rely on Nene and Gortat that’s not a duo you can rely on . They lost kevin to Ny who was a good piece in my eyes. They also have Bradley beal contract looming.

Yeah, You are crazy. People are overrating how big of an contribution Paul Pierce actually was. Pierce wasn’t really good for about a 3/4 of the season and some Washington fans that I’ve been talking too wanted him benched for Otto Porter Jr. People saw 3 amazing clutch moments in the playoffs and try to act like he played like that the whole season and was one of Washington top 3 players. LMAO.

Nene and Marcin Gortat is one of the most underrated frontcourts in the NBA. They have size, skill, defense, a chemistry. Kevin Serephin hardly played last season and when he did play he was inconsistent. He have one good game after 7 bad ones. And they never rely on Nene and Gortat, they rely on only John Wall. He carry the team and the only way they miss the playoffs is if he misses all of the season

I don’t even get why you mentioned Washington, they improved in my opinion. Bradley Beal and Otto Porter are primed to breakout, they improved on their biggest weaknesses by getting 3 point shooters and bench players, and they are going smaller that allows John Wall to be better than he was before. I want be surprise if they were the 2nd seed next season. And im a Heat fan.

You’re underestimating Pierce’s intangible impact as a leader and role model.

Pierce commented about how Wall and Beal weren’t all that professional basically.

I’m a huge Oubre fan and think he could form a big 3 with Wall and Beal, but he could also make Beal easier to lose if Beal doesn’t break out and Washington doesn’t want to max him out.

Beal in a contract year should be super motivated, but I have the Wizards just missing the playoffs.

Man give it up.  Oubre is years away from contributing.  Lol.  A big 3.

I really do appreciate your routine outside the box thinking though to put it lightly.  At least you are routinely over the top,  I respect that.

The box is for people like the short Buss and Byron Scott.

In a matter of months, if not weeks, you are going to regret that your Lakers didn’t draft Oubre over Russell. Oubre and about 30 other players.

Wasn’t Byrun Scott the head coach when the Cavs picked Dion Waiters over Lillard?

I bet I can find a video of Scott talking about Waiters’ "special" talent, lol.

Unbelievable how people sleep on Oubre but think Russell is better than even Lin or Clarkson.

7’2 wingspan, crazy hops, lockdown defense, 26′ shooting range? Yawn. But did you see that spin pass by D’Angelo?

Scott’s praise for Russell should have set off the alarm bells, if the pick itself didn’t.

But as I’ve said before, Jonathan Holmes could be the next Paul Milsap.

And Russell should become valuable as a back up PG who defends SGs. The good thing about oversized pgs is you can find guys like Clarkson in the second round, and they have legit value obviously. Because they don’t have to handle pg responsibilities.

I’m going with the pistons. Im counting on reggie jackson taking a big step this year and brandon jennings will  be back sometime. They had a somewhat quiet offseason but have done a solid job if it. I love the addition of ersan through trade along with one of the morris twins and stanly johnson through the draft to make the small forward a weapon now. They now have some spacing this season and it’s time for andre to go to work and have an eepven bigger break out year under stan van gundy. It’s gonna be a good yesr in the motor city.

Im going with the mavs for this, dirk cant be relied on every night. Chandler isnt a one option or a strong two. Deron isnt a quality point gaurd anymore in my opinion. They either need to make some big moves or count on some luck from the ping pong balls in the lotter.

I cant see the celtics making the playoffs again even though they’re in the east.  The east should be stronger this year, and with the celtics still rebuilding and lacking a go-to scorer they could definitely fall out of the playoffs this year
