    Dunks are the best. The only thing that possibly beats it is when a dunk gets blocked..but to do this you risk being on Sportscenter.

    So many players would rather get out of the way if the chances of a block are low…especially in the modern era. Guys like Ewing and Mutombo and even Shawn Bradley never did this.

    My question is…if a player from your team gets dunked on badly…do you;

    A) Respect the effort

    B) Tell him to get out of the damn way

    Some guys are always getting dunked on…eg Kendrick Perkins. But Id go so far as to say it has increased his rep around the league as a guy that would rather look bad and win.

    Thoughts? Are there any advantages to getting dunked on?

    For me, being posterized is a badge of honour.

    It means you play hard, and challenge the dunk regardless of the outcome.

    So many players just stand there while a guy dunks as to not look like a fool and end up on a poster.  But what is worse, seeing Lebron dunking and you’re just standing there looking up like a little child, or up in the air, hands up, and Lebron is just too good and gets it anyway.

    If you challenge a guy enough, when he gets a fast break, he’s probably just going to coast it in because he wants an easy 2 points after all that hard effort you’ve put him through to get his normal 2 points.

    This could potentially lead to a chasedown block.

    Also, do you think that people close out on 3 pointers now a lot more?

     This being on a poster idea for being dunked over as an insult is just something that media fools have created.

    The player that puts in effort on every play is good, and trying to block a shot is what has to be done.

    The player that can’t be bothered trying to defend against a dunk attempt, the player that doesn’t want to put effort into running back to try to stop a fast break, the player who is too lazy to box-out when rebounding, they are the bad ones and why plenty of fans don’t want to watch.

    Plus, really, who actually buys posters these days anyway?

    1. Damon Stoudemire close up on his mighty mouse tattoo 2. 2001 Duke team poster 3. A collage poster with AI, VC, Steve Francis and a few more 4. Jason Kidd as a Net

    and 5. a soccer poster that read "no pain no gain, no gain no goals, no goals no glory, no glory no girls. No girls? Get up man, get up!"
