Ok, so it’s a slow news week and I came across this article.

    downtownball.net/2015/08/swaggy-p-aussie-boomer/

Now I know it’s completely tongue in cheek, but playing along with it, would Nick Young add anything to the Boomers team as currently constructed? Personally I don’t know. But it sure would be interesting seeing him fire away in FIBA competition.

Hell yeah. Hes not he worst player going around.

Exum, Mills, Delly, Young would be the back court.

By the way, Kyrie Irving is stone cold DOGGING the boomers by not playing for them.

Dude is an Australian. If you’re born here, you can play for the team anytime you like in my opinion. Not to late to change your mind.

He’d get more satisfaction out of leading Aussies to a silver or bronze medal than cake walking his way to a gold medal.

Actually I believe once you play for a National Team you cannot play for another one.  Hibbert played for Jamaica at one point and is unable to play for Team USA.  Now I doubt he’d make the team but he wouldn’t even be allowed to be in the process of camp or scrimmages.

This article from 2012 talks about Hibbert asking for a release from Jamaica but I don’t think he got it.  I doubt the US would give Kyrie a release to play for an improving Australian team.

Sadly, he can’t be traded to Australia.
