aktripleParticipantThank you everyone for the feedback I think i will just ask for your opinion on their total offseason grade rather than just individual categories as a way to make it easiser for everyone.
So Next up we have Brooklyn…..
Overall Grade: B
I like the moves that they made as well as mercifully ending the deron williams era for brooklyn, and the young talent that they drafted/signed form the draft like boatright, RHJ, chris mcCoullough and i even like them taking a flyer on bargs and thomas robinson. however they couldnt achieve a higher grade for me because of all the picks that they have given up and the fact that they still have joe johnson/’s AWFUL contract.
Past Scores:
Atlantic Divison:
Boston Celtics: B-

theEDGEParticipantIf the Nets could get something good in return for Johnson the B still might be to high.
if the Celtics get a B- for adding Young pieces in Rozier, Hunter and Mickey.
And giving up Wallace for former All-star Lee could be a great move again by Ainge.
Nets added Hollis-Jefferson and Larkin who could help them.
So keeping that in mind I would give the Nets maybe a D- for now.

aktripleParticipanti just guess the reason why i graded them so highly was that they finally are building their team and franchise as a franchise and not just a side-hobby for some russian billionaire who wanted a nba championship

Rip255I know Ive been harsh on these weak ECF teams but damn.. I gotta give another F.
I’m getting old watching these franchises put decades of terrible seasons together.
Jay Z and Michael Jordan are the 2 worst Owners in sports.

XYRYXParticipant…. irrelevant to me, sorry.
I think they are not going anywhere with this roster are to be more precise with this Owner and GM. Prokhorov is trying to sell the team already and you really have to wonder why since he is only involved a few years. I think the costs of the new Arena and all the expensive roster and coaching moves as well as very poor results on the court have doomed this franchise for a few more years.
They have no draft picks but some salary cap over the next few years which is great but I don’t see anyone to hook up with Brook Lopez’ feet and Billy King.
I think after Christmas the Nets will realise that they need to blow this whole thing up and gets some draft picks as well if they want to insert some talent into this team in the long run and maybe they can attract a possible buyer with a better outlook than now with the roster like the Bucks had when they were sold, Pels or the semi contending Hawks or Clippers. I don’t expect anything out of the Nets coming next year.

Bencelticsfan2346ParticipantI think the nets should have gone as big as possible in the off season because they have no 1st round pick next year. An injury to brook Lopez, Joe johnson, even Thad young or any combination of the three would throw a year and lots of money out the window for the aforementioned year. I have to say I like the bargain signings of Thomas Robinson and Andrea bargani. Shane Larkin and Wayne Ellington were also had for cheap. the bargain signings can provide depth for now and the future and maybe Shane Larkin and Thomas Robinson can salvage their careers and carved out roles and tap into some of their potential. Moving forward the nets need a to attract big name free agents because they have no first round picks for th he next three drafts which means if the nets can’t sign some good.players the Celtics could end up with lottery picks for three years. this summer the nets got some stuff done, but next summer is incredibly important Joe Johnson’s 25 million will come off the books and a cap increase give the nets wiggling room to sign big free agents. next summer is make or break, but getting rid of deron Williams and signing a couple of nice pieces like bargs and robinson makes the nets deserving of a solid B for this summer
