J-CHRISTOSParticipantI just read an article about Mike Beasley training like a wing player this offseason ,I also seen on you tube Beasley playing at barry farms looked pretty good.I think him training like a wing player will be good for him, because we learned last year that Beasley in the post not bad,but should have been alot better, with the experience he got playing in the post last year,he should not have trouble sizing up shooting guards and certain small fowards what do you guys think?

J-CHRISTOSParticipantI was just looking at his profile on this site Carmelo Anthony comparison is pretty good, there’s something about small fowards in the d.c area.I read about this other kid in that area by the name of Will Barton looks pretty good

europebasketballGreat because he can shoot and he has great size and athletism which can make him a great small forward.

BosteritoParticipantYes, the Beasley comparison to Melo is correct.
Miami next year:
C – Magliore or if they trade for someone, O’Neal would be better at the PF positoon
PF – J.O’Neal
SF – Beastley
SG – No comment
PG – Mario

Stanford hoopsParticipantpersonally i think its gonna be a battle to see who starts at that 2 guard position..lol..i dont see how oneal is better suited at pf when hes always played center andf played it very well…you got haslem at the pf and he plays that very well also..maglore starting days are over unless someone gets hurt

BosteritoParticipantIts just my o[pinion but I kind of dont like Haslem he has a hot streak of 10 games and then starts missing. If you could have 2 big men on the floor, then I would like that. Miami did not have a rebounder last year, which is what they need.

Stanford hoopsParticipanthaslem is very consistant..some times he scores more then usually but his lows are never real low..hes nice and solid ..much better then maglore..he might get a high of 8pts 5 rebs then zero and 3 while fouling out the next 5 games in a row

J-CHRISTOSParticipantHaslem is good, but can be replaced

J-CHRISTOSParticipantThe Heat need a big body that could block shots and rebound

Stanford hoopsParticipantthats what jemaine oneal does…..theres a reason maglorie has dnp and doesnt start…he cant stay on the floor long enough..hes not a offensive option which means teams can double the other scores on miami..he has no jumper no post moves foul prone..cant run the pick and roll…haslem gts board hits the open jumpers..plays good d..can score double figures and gives oneal room to opperate..if im a different team i wish they start miglore and oneal that way when oneal gets it in the post they could double and not have to worry about him kicking it to jamal so he could hit a jumper…maglorie averages 3fouls a game in 12min..
