BallerScriptParticipantI have started creating an early mock and I don’t have enough small forward/center prospects. If you think I am missing a prospect or have any thoughts about my mock comment on this thread or on the doc linked below.

Anton123ParticipantCentres: Perhaps Amida Brimah? I have him as a late first rounder right now. Then there’s Zhou Qi, Kaleb Tarczewski, AJ Hammons, Chinanu Onaku, Petr Cornelie, Stephen Zimmerman (if you think he’ll declare), maybe Chris Obekpa
SFs: Taurean Prince, Michael Gbinje, Danuel House, Dorian Finney-Smith, DeAndre Bembrey, Rade Zagorac, Alex Pothyress, Axel Bouteille, Giorges Niang, Theo Pinson
Not all of them are getting drafted and you can argue that some of them are more PFs or SGs, but that’s plenty to choose from. Hope this was helpful.

KerouacJackParticipantDoesn’t Denver have Houston’s first rounder now?

Flameres15ParticipantI like the draft, but I think Brandon Ingram will be higher, and I think Dragan Bender is going to be the number one pick. It will be easier for us to make a mock, when we know where everyone ends up.

Rip255Screenshot this post if you want….but if Skal goes ahead of Simmons in the draft I’ll buy a Margo Dydek Jersey and wear it to my next game of pick-up.
I just cant understand why Skal is #1 and Simmons is #3.
Jay Bilas just watched Simmons matching up against NBA All-Stars for 3 days, and said with certaintly he is the #1 pick in the draft and had more upside than Andrew Wiggins. He used the words "versatile talent rarely seen".
Simmons is unbelievably good. Half of Skals baskets at the NHS (where he improved his stock so much) were spoon-fed to him from Simmon’s passing. Go back and watch the footage if you disagree. His opposition was all sub-par bigmen by NBA standards who were 12mths younger than him.
I also don’t understand why big guys are always the consensus #1 picks in mocks (unless they get injured). This isn’t the 80s with Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson. It’s not a big-man’s league anymore.
Look at the 2014-2015 MVP voting. Of the 6 players getting a substantial number of votes, only AD in 5th place is considered a big-man. (And Skal ain’t AD).
Skal looked nice, but he played hardly any meaningful High School basketball. He’s just as much of a man-of-mystery as Dante Exum was at the Nike Hoops Summit.

BallerScriptParticipantThe main factor in why I have Skal going number one is because of how much potential he has. His cieling is a shot blocking bigman with a perimeter game and that is hard to miss out on. I am questioning it though. Thanks for the feedback, what would your lottery/firstround look like Rip?

Rip255It’s all good to get a Big man who can shoot 3s….but when someone who truly has franchise-changing talent comes along you take him. I’m probably bias, but I think Simmons is going to be the best prospect since Anthony Davis and agree with Bilas that he’s a better prospect than Wiggins, Towns, Skal & Okafor. We’re talking a 6’10" tank with Lebrons ball-handling & passing.
1) Simmons – See above. Streets ahead of anyone in this class. Will be the best player on the court, regardless of what position he played (even center in small-ball lineups.)
2) Bender – Great playmaking and shooting ability for his size.
3) Skal – He’s gotta be the best bigman to come along in years to go ahead of Simmons…which he’s not.
4) Jamal Murray – Damn Kentucky…the best scorer in the draft (ahead of Newman)
5) Diallo – High Motor, Length, Defense, Hustle.
6) Malik Newman – Professional Scorer and a good leader. Will get buckets in college and NBA.
7) Brandon Ingram – Nice game, could rise.
8) Jalen Brown – Athletic and can score…but he’s not a top 3 guy.
9) Furkan Korkmaz – Saw this guy at the U19 FIBA’s and was super impressive.
10) Zimmerman – Gets abused too easily on defense, but has a high release jumper that will be tough to block and pretty good athleticism.
Fools Gold: Ivan Rabb, Antonio Blakeney, Diamond Stone
Under the Radar: Deng Adel (Louisville SF – lockdown wing defender), Jonah Bolden (UCLA Sophomore, ineligible for Freshman year, 6’10" Wing with versatile skill set)

Jerrell7ParticipantPost pg in the draft. Only saw a snippet but damn 8 he isn’t a Derrick rose clone. If the sixers get him or simmons it’s a rap.
