khaled_a_dParticipantAs a Mavs fan,I’ve watched our 2 game in SL .and I have to say I am quit impressed with Kevin Pangos
Kid has very high BBIQ ,the only player in the team who wasn’t chucking 3 pointers with 20 second in the clock and trying to force things to showcase his talent .played within the game and always set his teammates.average 6 assists and he actually could have much better numbers if we had even average summer league roster .understand his limitation offensively ,move well off the ball too and obviously gr8 shooter
He lacks ideal physical tools, lack quickness and has short arms but he tries hard defensively and I think he won’t be as awful defender as expected
Overall I can say kid might be worth trying in the league . Don’t know if he will be able to crack a rotation soon but for me he showed enough to get a pre-season camp invite .hopefully he keep it up this SLAs for the rest of Mavs team ,Powell is the most impressive but he need to learn when to shoot the 3 .he tries to shoot 3 whenever he had the chance to show his improvement at that area .
Justin Anderson showed his impressive physical tools and strength ,gr8 1st game and bad 2nd .his 3 PT% is worrying but it seem that this team game plan is just keep shooting the 3 and never attack the basket so may be it isn’t big deal
Satnam Singh : kid is the slowest I’ve ever seen .his reaction and thinking is actually slow too .he has some soft touch and move well on offensive end but while he shows promise as basketball player .I am not sure he has any NBA future in the next half decade
Wayne wasn’t bad,Tyler was biggest disappointment IMO

I May Be WrongParticipantlet’s go Satnam! us brown people will give you all the chicken tikka masala and naan you’d ever want if you make this roster! Not to mention Mark Cuban’s league leading "Bollywood Nights" during the upcoming season
Okay.. now back to being a professional. Good insight OP. Kevin Pangos sounds like the 3rd string PG any team would love to have. I was a fan of his and Im rooting for him to find a spot somewhere down the line.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantI’ve been saying all along that pangos is a player that will eventually stick in the league. He is the perfect second or third string pg that can play 10-12 mins a game, won’t turn the ball over, won’t force things, and is a threat from the outside. Coaches love players like him, even if his physical attributes won’t blow anyone away. If someone like Pablo prigioni can carve out an NBA career, I see no reason why pangos can’t.

TRC1991ParticipantPangos is about as solid as it gets, he’s a winner, can make the NBA 3 with relative ease, and is a willing passer.

thepointgawdParticipantKevin Pangos. Safe to say he’s Luke Ridnour 2.0

OhCanada-ParticipantPhilly should really consider signing him. He could slide into a JJ Barea type role in my opinion. I hope he gets a shot hes one of my favourite players and is so overlooked.

JV’s_pump_fakeParticipantEveryone has been sleeping on Kevin Pangos. He’s been opening some eyes though in the SL.
Hard to believe nobody took him in the 2nd round.
Athleticism, low post play (o and d), rebounding and hustle don’t always transfer well to the NBA but shooting is always required.
Having a heady player with a good attitude that can shoot at the end of your bench is always helpful when buckets get hard to come by or when the injury bug bites.
I know you can’t teach size, but the amount of big men that get taken in the draft with little to no skill over solid ball players blows my mind.
Hope he sticks with somebody.
Great topic btw. I’ve been waiting for this one
