    Not much happened today.

Stanley Johnson tore it up to the tune of 24 pts, 9 rbs, 3 steals.  10-14 shooting.  He is helping to justify being drafted over Winslow.

Troy Daniels showed why he was playing key minutes for the Rockets a few years ago.  6-9 from 3, and 21 pts.  Also Aaron Harrison won the matchup battle of the Harrison twins by 16 pts to 9, shooting 6-10 from the field (Andrew 3-8).  Aaron dished out 8 assists also.

In the same game, Frank Kaminsky dropped 14 pts on 6-8 shooting, 2-3 from 3, and 8rbs.

In Winslow’s second game, he dropped 14 pts 5 rbs, 4 ast, 2 steals and 5 TO’s, going 0-5 from 3 and 3-10 in the field.  He made up for it by going 8-12 from the line.

Willie Reed scored 17 pts and grabbed 9 rebs on 8-12 shooting. He should get a camp invite from the Heat to get younger in the frontcourt.

yeah willie reed was one of the most impressive guys i saw today. Another under the radar guy i liked was ryan boatright.

As for stanley johnson vs winslow, i think it looks close to a toss up right now. Winslow is a fantastic ball handler and passer and can attack off the dribble. Johnson is big and strong and attacks the rim hard, can play through contact. Johnsons a Better ball handler then people realize though not on winslows level. Defense and shooting is pretty much a toss up, and i watched both of their games so im not just basing that off stats but wathcing them. Would say both guys are very close.

The only issue is that he is 5’11" and I don’t see him getting much traction in the league.  There are so many solid PG’s that sometimes I’m surprised that Phil Pressey even played minutes last season!

I agree and it seems like Phil Pressey time in Boston is coming to an end. Phils contract becomes guaranteed on the 15th It would be a shock if he isnt waive

I had Boatright in my mock draft.  He looks like he good be a very good, and cheap, third point guard for a team.

Kaminsky needed a big summer league to quiet those who said the Hornets reached for him, and 2 blocks and 2 threes and good shooting will help.  It will be interesting to see if Tank starts for them at power forward for the opening game of the season.  Jefferson, Kaminsky, Kidd-Gilchrist, Batum, Walker, it is a different but talented starting group.

Ryan Boatright had a good game, but he "just" caught fire at some point. Not like he showed anything special in his game,he was a bit of a chucker but his shots fell ,so it looks good. Next game he’ll do the same but less shots will go in,and he’ll look terrible.

Willie Reed played fairly well for the Grizzlies the past couple of summer leagues.

    Hope he makes the Heat.

Boatright should be an ideal 3rd string point guard.  He has solid talent and will be CHEAP.

How many point guards went down in the playoffs this past season?  Patrick Beverley, Mike Conley, and Kyrie Irving got hurt late in the year/playoffs with the Warriors fortunate to go through ALL those teams. And, Jru Holiday was banged up, coming off an injury. In the past, Westbrook has missed playoff games due to injury.

I think if the Cavs had another decent point guard option besides Dellavadova, maybe it would have been a different series.

No reason NOT to carry 3 point guards AT ALL TIMES.

I saw that Harrison vs. Harrison stat.  Wanted Andrew Harrison as a bigger backup point guard for the Grizzlies, wrote about him when I made an EARLY 2015 draft thread, and we did end up getting him.  BUT, I wouldn’t be shocked if the Grizzlies got the wrong Harrison.  haha.
