BasketBalAllanParticipantI guess that’s a good pickup for the Kings, at least if he goes off the reservation there is always Collison to pick up any slack. I feel like its relatively low risk for both Rondo and the Kings.

Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantI think rondo deserved, more but I guess reluctantly after this season ppl became down on him although as a mavs fan him Sharing the ball with Ellis I knew wsdnt good for rondo or the mavs. Good this is rondo has some similar pieces to the ones he had in Boston. Bellini one of the best 3pt shooters, gives him a threat from deep like ray Allen. Rudy gay a go to scorer like Peirce. WCS to defend the paint like perckins. Boogie to be the all nba post guy like Garnett. Not saying these players are on the level of the Boston team just similar pieces to what allows rondo to be rondo at his best. Can’t wait to see him come back strong.

HitsterParticipantRondo probably wants to keep his options open for 2016 and after injuries in 2012-2014 and a quiet year last season, his value is a lot less than it was when he was playing his best basketball from 2007-2012. Also he is not committed to the Kings so can move on if they don’t look like improving hugely next year. He is coming off a big deal so doesn’t perhaps need to chase another big deal immediately, he has a title already and knows a good year playing 75 plus games puts him back in line for a big deal next summer.
He will only be 30 next summer so can get probably his last big career deal then. Also if the top teams haven’t spoken to him, a player of his standing isn’t going to wait to get a call knowing he wasn’t their top option.
I like this signing for the Kings, pass first PG’s have often worked well in Coach Karl’s system and if Rondo is back to his court general best then he can spread the floor and create for DMC and Gay etc. Marco Belinelli is also a good pick up to compliment Rondo as he gives the Kings a good shooting option as the possible open man with DMC drawing double team.

220ParticipantBefore the NBA draft only two high paying destinations seemed possible for Rondo LA Lakers and the Sacramento Kings. Once the Lakers drafted D’Angelo Russell then the Kings seemed to be the only option left so I’m not surprised at all to see him head to the Kings.
I’m really intrigued to see how things go with Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, and George Karl. I wonder how long before we hear about a conflict between them.

Chilbert arenasParticipantWith the contracts we’re seeing out there I think that Beverly deal is a steal.

BasketballGuru24ParticipantRondo, george karl, and cousins have just formed a ticking time bomb. 3 ego maniacs could be entertaining but destructful

HitsterParticipantInteresting point about egos by Guru24 above, DMC issues are well known, Rondo fell out with Mavs possibly but was never an issue with Celtics big 3 and I’ve never heard of much conflict with George Karl and the many stars he’s coached over the years.
