kobyzParticipantI think the sixers could snick into the east playoff even this year early in their rebuilding project, we all know about that promise talanted front court(Okafor, Noel and Embiid if healthy) which the sixers just add to that stability and experience with Thompson and Landry… But no one seems to notice their underrated backcourt, Canaan/Wroten/Covington, this is balance backcourt with penetration, creativity, shooting and size, Canaan could be a poor man Ty Lawson, Wroten already put up great stats and should keep improving, Covington is a solid 3 and D guy with great size. on the bench there some more young talent…

ChicagoCaseyParticipantNaw. I still believe they are the worst team in the east.
I have the Cavs, Heat, Bulls, Wizards, Bucks, Pacers, Hawks, and Raptors all making the playoffs over the 76ers.

Sewok15ParticipantThey weren’t even the worst team in the East last year…that honor belonged to the Knicks.
I doubt they will make the playoffs because a lot of teams in the East have improved and they are still probably the youngest team in the NBA but they are headed in the right direction. I think by 2017 they will be able to sneak in perhaps and by 2020 when LeBron’s dominance of the East is coming to an end they will be one of the top 3 teams in the East.

holefillers1Participantyeah Cannan wont even make the team. A lot of philly writers including myself(not a writer) believe that Jordan McRae will be the starting SG. Pierre Jackson is the other gaurd that will make roster over Cannan

Sewok15ParticipantMcRae will make the team but I don’t think he will be starting. They have a huge whole on the wings so that gives him a slight chance but I would rather see Stauskas in the starting lineup myself.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThis is a troll post…
I am the biggest 76ers I can be and I’m honest enough to tell anyone who will listen that we won’t be a playoff Team for at least 2 years…
But when the core of Okafor, Embiid, Noel, Saric, Stauskas, Wroten, Covington and McRae add a few more pieces in the 2016 Draft Class gel it’s going to be a very scary thing…
Like it or not, Noel is a potential DPOY, Embiid is a potential 20/10 guy down low and Okafor was the consensus #1 pick before KAT and Russell flew up the draft boards, throw in a versatile F like Saric who’ll be a veteran by the time he’s asked to suit up for Philadelphia for the 2016/2017 season…Those are damm fine pieces to build around, Stauskas was considered by many the best SG in his draft class and was a cheap fix at SG, he only has to hit open jumpers and pass the ball to his big men, Covington is a great shooter too, if Wroten can improve his decision making and outside shooting the sky could be the limit for him as a PG/SG on this roster, the real key is landing a few more High Calibre Prospects via the draft before we extend the Triple Towers, Simmons or Brown with a Top 3 Pick would be amazing IMO…
Closing statement, the 76ers plan is to miss this year’s Playoffs and add a Simmons/Brown type at SF, the Lakers look like they’ll be giving us a pick in the 4-14 range no matter what they do this offseason, there goes our PG possibly…Sit back and trust the process Philadelphia fans/critics

Rip255Ive done a Psychological profile on you scarecrow and its evident that you’re addicted to fear.
This is why Philly is your team. They give you the fear you desperately crave.
San Antonio is your batman.

trelos6ParticipantI was ROFL until I thought, hang on, the Bucks were a 15 win team and then turned it around with some solid D.
In an ideal world, Okafor commands double teams, kicking it out to Stauskas for open 3’s. Noel patrols the paint with menace and Embiid is healthy and a two way force from day 1.
If they can swing a Thompson/Landry for Lawson type trade, they will have a solid PG.
I actually think the best case scenario is sucking for 1 more year. Let Okafor/Noel/Stauskas/Embiid grow and play heavy minutes.
Next year, draft Ben Simmons as a do it all SF, and with the Lakers pick, Jamal Murray or Kris Dunn (Whoever is the best PG available).
Philly then just has to throw them all in together and let the pot boil for a few years. If Embiid is impatient because Noel/Okafor combo are dominating playing time, then trade his ass to Boston and you can probably grab 4 solid backups for the starters (solid bench mob).
