215NGBParticipantReports say they are offering Lillard a max deal and meeting with Greg Monroe. With them as their nucleus, I see them as a 7th or 8th seed in the west. Keep in mind they’re also losing Afflalo and Batum is out. What are your thoughts?

FearTheStacheParticipantI don’t think they have a chance to make the playoffs. The West is going to be arguably even stronger next year (as crazy as that sounds). AD is only getting better, OKC will have KD (hopefully) and a prime Westbrook, and it looks like the Spurs will get Adridge, vaulting them into championship contention. Clippers, Rockets, Warriors & Grizzlies will likely either stay the same or get better. That’s 7 teams right there. Then, you could make the argument that the Lakers, Jazz and maybe even the TWolves have a better roster. Unless Lillard puts up some MVP season (doubtful), they might be better off just trying to get a decent pick in the draft.

SwaggyQ3Participantif they get monroe than yes, 7 or 8th seed, if not, i cant see them making the playoffs. I believe it will be the same teams as last year in the west, expect the Thunder replace Trailblazers. and dont sleep on denver, i may sound crazy, but i think they will be up there.

Bmore_DCParticipant@SwaggyQ3…
Denver? Really? They might be the worst team in the NBA next year, let alone the west

ZachAttackParticipantThe Jazz will also be up there, I don’t see them getting worse since they were the youngest team in the NBA.

sitlbitoParticipantGreg Monroe doesn’t change the fact that they won’t be a playoffs team. I agree witrh ZachAttack, Utah is being slept on. They finished the season 31-24,that’s a playoffs team if they do this over 82 games, and there’s no reason they won’t.
