trelos6ParticipantWho do you think was drafted in the best fit situation.
I say Towns is up there, a young team who likes to run, a PG who can feed him the ball.
Also, Winslow is a big winner. He can start at SF for the Heat or backup Wade as a wingman.
Other good fits are Payne for OKC, Hunter for Boston.
The reason why Okafor isn’t a great fit, is that he’ll still need a guy to get him the ball. He will command double teams (purely because the rest of the team is so bad defenders will slack off them).

mgreener_34ParticipantI mean the obvious pick is Winslow, and you could see it on his face when/after he was drafted. He’s going to do well for himself in MIA, and he knows it.
Another pick that worked out is Mudiay to the Nuggets for obvious reasons, and same could be said for Stanley Johnson. Johnson isn’t going to be expected to be a franchise player right off the bat, just make solid plays on offense and give it 100% on defense. He also fits the Pistons biggest need to a T.
Gerian Grant to NY is also a great fit, as he is the prototypical player you want playing point in the triangle, as he’s a good shooter and decent passer. He could carve out a nice career once the Knicks actually put a real team together.
I think the biggest winner of the draft though in terms of fit and team is Kevon Looney. The Warriors just won the title, have a strong locker room, are looking to get rid of Lee, have players who are similar to himself who he can learn from, and will have all the time in the world to craft his game under an awesome coaching staff. He may have dropped a lot, but I think going to the Warriors will only help his career, and I hope he can get some burn.

For_Never_EverParticipantKelly Oubre will likely won’t be getting much time at all because of Bradly Beal and Otto Porter.
I read this article that is pretty interesting on him.

trelos6ParticipantPorter has showed in the playoffs that he’s ready for a larger role. Even if Pierce leaves, Porter should see 35mpg.
Temple also showed some promise last year, so he will likely play 10mpg backing up Beal.
I think Oubre gets around 10mpg from the start and depending on how he performs, may end up seeing only garbage time.
His best case scenario is to become a lock down defender, but by all accounts, he needs to study a lot of tape to improve his basketball IQ

220ParticipantIf Martell Webster is fully healthy that could mean even less mintues for Oubre.

220ParticipantI live near Philadelphia so I see a lot of Sixers games on the local sports channel. One funny thing this past season to me is how all the analysts reacted to MCW being traded when most guys weren’t enamored with his game to begin with. OP my point in mentioning that is to say that anyone who’s seen the 76ers play knows Tony Wroten is just as good a point guard as MCW and he finishes better at the rim. Whether that’s high praise for Wroten or low praise for MCW I’ll leave you to decide.
Now Wroten is coming off an ACL injury so perhaps that will slow him a bit, but it’s impossible to say right now. Wroten can get out of control but when MCW was out Wroten’s numbers running the point were nearly identical to MCWs.
