JV’s_pump_fakeParticipantSo apparently the Warriors want to move on from David Lee. He is still a useful player, albeit with defensive deficiencies. Draymond Green’s success has cost him a job but I’d be happy to take him in Toronto. It has been reported gsw would sweeten the deal by throwing in the 30th pick. Toronto holds the 20th already and I want them to take kevon looney with the pick. Adding 30 would let them take a risk reward kind of prospect (hello pat connaughton)
That would give them a new starting pf, a stretch 4 prospect, and a 3 and d player to bring along slowly.
take a flyer on a hometown boy from the wolves (bennett cuz you know we cant get wiggz) and that gives you some reinforcements to help jv, demar and lowry.
thoughts?

high floorParticipantI’m not sure Channing Frye is a Scott Skiles kinda guy… maybe add a 2nd rounder plus Ben Gordon? Ben Gordon’s contract is not guaranteed for next season so GSW could conceivably waive him after the deal is complete.
I would personally like to see Frye for 1 more year in a Magic uniform, just to see if coach Vaughn was just misusing him. But I don’t see anyway he’ll work defensively with Vucevic, even if Vucevic improves under a new defensive system.
Lee’s contract expires after next season, and should help Orlando get some more W’s this year which is what Orlando is aiming to do. He will not solve their spacing issues at all though, thus limiting this team’s ceiling if he does start at PF and play 28+ mpg for them.
This deal gives Orlando some options in 2016-2017 when their young talent is more developed and could make them players in FA. Particulary a player with some offensive firepower to play alongside their defense-first core

XYRYXParticipantCould you please at least name the deals you are talking about?
Right now I only see the Raptors getting Lee and pick #30 as well as Bennett from the Wolves. As much as I understand trading players and picks there have to be going picks and/or players the other way too or at least cash.
Any ideas cause I don’t really know what your Raptors have to offer here??

JV’s_pump_fakeParticipantit’s hard to make deals work with trade machine in the offseason.
Thoughts at the end was asking for alternate teams ideas or ideas on who gsw may want. As for the raps offer I’d think t-ross, vazquez, patrick patterson, james johnson would be some of the players in play because the warriors are trying to save money to sign green.

KHAM83ParticipantWarriors rather a really cheap player or a pick. They want to get rid of his contract period, there’s a team out there that wouldn’t mind the veteran, with one year remaining, and the 30th pick. Keep in mid Lee showed he could be a good player off the bench. After next season, the next team will have the inside trade of resigning him at a cheaper, and valuable, deal. Utah was rumored month ago. They could take him this year and let their draftee sit this season.

JV’s_pump_fakeParticipantwouldnt any team taking on Lee have to match salary unless they were far enough under the cap to absorb the contract?

jtthebrick14ParticipantThe salaries have to be within 125% + $100,000 unless under the cap. But yeah, most trade ideas posted here completely ignore the fundamental details of a legal trade and matching salary.

Mr. HookShotParticipantMaybe Haywood’s contract from the Cavs is an option?
