According to SI.com, Lakers and Dwade showing mutual interest.  This would be kind of interesting.  Clarkson, Wade, Kobe, Randle, Okafor?  This seems like a strange unit.

Wonder if this team could get anything cooking at all in the west.  Maybe just enough to give Philly a non-lotttery pick?

Horrible unit for spacing purposes, but I bet this is the type of lineup that gives Byron Scott wet dreams

Philly  holds Miami”s pick as well as the Lakers so it’s a win win situation for the Sixers if Wade goes…they will get a lottery pick

The move may happen, but for me it just makes no sense. Why would he even consider leaving his beloved Heat for anything less than an instant title shot? I can’t think why he would make that move.

Would he win a title? Probably not.

Would he make more money? Probably not.

Would he be the man? Probably not.

Does he even fit in the team? Probably not.

If I’m Dwayne Wade and I want out I’m probably getting my agent to call Oklahoma or even the Spurs.

If Wade leaves I see him only going to LeBron.

     Lakers?

he is not leaving Miami for less money to play for a inferior team,

I could see him taking less to play with LeBron

or going to a team like San Antonio

or maybe Back home to Chicago.

As a Heat fan I would be dissapointed at Wade is he went to LA. For personal reasons more so than the reasons stated above. Another thing, it never occured to me, the thought of Wade joining Lebron, that wouldnt make me the happiest person but at the same time Wade is my favorite player of all times and i would love to see him get another ring with one of his best NBA friends. Not to mention, Lebron might never get a ring without Wade, sorta like Jordan with Pip.

If he chose to leave, I would like see him play for his hometown Bulls, and win a ring with Derick Rose, who i always liked for his fierce game and humble personality.

No way. It’s just a smoke screen. Miami better pay that man. Based on loyalty he deserves what he is asking.im not gonna give bosh all that money and turn my nose to wade.  He put in too much work.

As a Laker fan, I cringed when I read that story. I think it’s a win-win STORY for Wade and the Lakers: the Heat thinks Wade wants another team and players think other players want to play for the Lakers. I assume it’s nothing more than that. The Lakers should only sign young players (Jimmy Buttler, Tobias Harris-types) so they can grow a young core. If they can’t get young guys, they shouldn’t sign them.

Obviously Wade is trying to scare the **** out of Pat Riley with this one. No way he goes to LA with Kobe still there. He would have to be insane.

The only way this works out is if the Lakers package their #2 pick, and Randle to obtain someone like Cousins and sign a bunch of ring chasing vets to the team. Even then, you can’t count on Wade and Kobe to stay healthy, and in the stacked West you are going to need defense and depth, something that team just wouldn’t have. Lakers would have to make some serious moves
