BallerScriptParticipantIf Kevin Durant was put onto the trading block today who would the Thunder trade him to and what for?
I think the Thunder would most likely trade him to the Sixers for the 3rd pick in the 2015 draft, Dario Saric, two future first rounders and players to make up salary.

SmooveKRYPTParticipantWell with KD in a contract year, they’d never get fair value for him as he’d hold all the leverage.
But hypothetically for the sake of the question…It’d take something like Oladipo, Harris, #5 pick, and another future pick.

OhCanada-ParticipantProbably worth more then most teams can offer.

TheTruth86ParticipantHe can do it. If I were him I’ d offer all the Brooklyn picks plus whoever OkC want from my rooster ( except for Smart maybe..), plus some of ours first roundrers in the next few years. We got huge trade exceptions ( rondo and prince trades) and plenty of cap space to unload Okc or an eventual 3rd party of a player(s) with bad contracts.

HitsterParticipantK-Love went for top pick last year plus Bennett (hard to know what his value was), if T-Wolves bid for him. I’d guess deal would either be first pick this year or Wiggins plus LaVine and another first rounder.
Lakers offer of a deal would likely be 2nd pick, Randall and Hill.
Basically Presti would want a guaranteed very high draft pick or a lot of excellent support pieces to build around Westbrook.
I don’t see Presti doing a deal with a current contender either.

gthaoParticipantWolves also got a future first round pick too, which was sent to Philly for Thad Young and then traded for KG. KD would have more value than KLove because of the playoffs and his MVP.

gthaoParticipantKD once said he wouldn’t mind playing for his hometown team, Wizard. If that’s the case maybe this trade…
Wizards get: KD
OKC gets: Beal, Porter, 19th pick and maybe a future 1st rounder
*I’m not sure of each teams cap space but I believe wizards will have to give up more so they can take in KD’s contract. Both Beal and Porter are still in their rookie contracts.

gthaoParticipantLAC gets- Durant
OKC gets Griffen
LAC resigns Jordan, gets their wing player they desperately need.
Lineup: Paul, Reddick,Durant, PF?, Jordan
OKC- Westbrook becomes your franchise player but the question will be what do you do with Ibaka? Move him to center and let Kanter go? Trade Ibaka to clear some cap so you can sign Kanter or FA?
Lineup: Westbrook, Waiters, Roberson, Griffin, Ibaka/Adams/Kanter

Stephen A. BaylessParticipantI think him and LeBron are the only two players that you can’t trade (Steph may join them shortly). There’s just no trade without mortgaging your entire now and future that would be worth a team giving up an almost guaranteed Conference Finals appearance with one of those two.
Minnesota would have an interesting starting point if they offered Wiggins and pick #1 but they would want some assurance that KD would resign. Guys like KD and LeBron are so valuable you’re better off just being championship contenders every year with them and just accept it if you happen to lose them in Free Agency.

NYK2010ParticipantMelo and the 4th pick for Durant.
OKC gets a top SF and a very good rookie as well.

Willfb3ParticipantAs an OKC fan NOOOOO. We want to win and that is something Melo has proven he is incapable of doing at this level. In the 2012 playoffs at the age of 23 Durant won as many playoff serise that year as Melo has in his entire career. Hard pass.

NYK2010ParticipantMelo made it to the WCF with a solid Nuggets team.
With Westbrook, Ibaka they would be a dangerous team.
KG lost in the 1st rd many years too that changed once he played with some stars.
Its a long shot but I think OKC will refuse to trade him anyway.

BiggysmallsParticipantDude, Durant’s wife plays for the Lynx. I’m not sayin…I’m just sayin…the pieces are in place. Why trade for him when he’ll sign for us? 😀
Is that what the life of a Laker fan feels like? I feel a little dirty just thinking about poaching a superstar like that, I might need a shower, but that does feel a little addicting.

pappmb93Participantyou don’t trade the close second best player in the world… you just don’t…unless it’s really an overloaded trade on the other side like Wiggins Lavine and no1. overall and another unprotected 1st maybe 2 as wel
