I wanted to make this thread to see what you guys would do for your team in this years draft. I don’t want this to turn into a list of ridiculous trade scenarios so just keep it draft-related (who you’d draft, whether you’d try to move up or down, and how you’d do it)

For me, a perfect scenario for the Timberwolves would be draft Russell and use assets like  Rubio/pek/31/36 to somehow move back into the top 10 to draft WCS. I know it’s a dream haul and you may have to trade back with the lakers to get another asset to do so.  If a deal like this can’t be done I would take Towns at #1, better fit next to wiggins/Rubio, and can play next to both pek and dieng.

What would you be looking at for your team?

Do you mean only the OP can post ridiculous draft/trade scenarios?

    1. Draft Towns & laugh all the way to being an annual contender for years to come.

Well I said it was a dream haul, but I would be exploring all options.   When I said ridiculous trade offers I meant like outside of the draft as a GM, but  I should have just left out the trade part.  I just wanted to see what people would do for their team in this draft, what prospects they like for their teams at the spot their in or trade up/down to get to.

      my bad.

For the Jazz, I’d pick Myles Turner and develop him off the bench.

As a jazz fan I too like Turner,  if we can’t get Turner then I would hope we take Lyles and then Kaminski!!!

2nd Pick: Okafor. No brainer. Franchise center for the next decade.

27th Pick: Cedi Osman. This pick is a luxury, even though the Lakers need all the help they can get. If the 27th and 34th pick are not traded for either veterans/higher pick, then getting an in-form European player who fills a positional need (SF) and allowing him to develop for another year or 2 would be the next best thing. I don’t think Justin Anderson, Rashad Vaughn, or even RJ Hunter would be available at this point. So, Cedi Osman.

34th Pick: Norman Powell/Andrew Harrison. I would be fine with either but the former might go as the 31st pick as the T’wolves need an SG also.  Harrison would be a good pick, because he is a strong combo guard who has potential to run an NBA offense and be a deadly shooter. He also performed incredibly well at the combine, like other players such as Rakeem Christmas and JP Tokoto, so his draft range should be around 30-43. He can learn from Kobe, Clarkson, and whatever vet PG the Lakers sign in free agency.

    Thoughts?

    Rakeem Christmas at 33

    Robert Upshaw at 45

Would love to trade down with all our assets to get WCS or Turner, or even just another shooter.  With this draft, we get a shooter of the bench to compliment Crowder/Evan Turner.  We could send Wood down to D-league for a year to develop, then have Christmas on the bench to get solid reserve minutes at PF, and then roll the dice on Upshaw to see if he can become the shot blocker we need.  I dont see us making all these picks, I 100% guarentee we trade up or trade to get a shot blocking center.

I want the Raptors to continue being patient developing the team and select the highest potential available. Guys like Looney, Vaughn, Wood, Martin, are bound to be available and fit into the D-League scheme well. Next year if management plays their cards right and with a bit of luck the Raps should have a ton of cap room and two 1st round picks one likely being in the lotto. That should be the year the Raps make their move.

Draft Jerian Grant if he’s still on the board and don’t think twice about it.
